Caribbean Basterds (2009)
If you're a fan of exploitation films you'll be well aware of the demigod which is Enzo G. Castellari. For over 40 years he's been giving us over the top action classic such as Go Kill Everybody and Come Back Alone (1968), 1990: The Bronx Warriors (1982), Day of the Cobra (1980) and The Inglorious Bastards (1978). It looks like the 70 year old director is getting back into the game with his latest offering Caribbean Basterds. The film involves a trio of young rich kids who rebel against their arms-dealing parents and also stumble across a big drug cache.
Enzo is pitching the film as "action, action, action and lots of sex and drugs," in addition to that "there is lots of violence against rich folks, and the kids take advantage of the situation to have fun with a few orgies."
One could argue that Caribbean Basterds is an ?in spirit, follow on film? to and The Inglorious Bastards but that would be just silly! He's clearly cashing in on the recent unrelated and miss spelt remake of The Inglorious Bastards by B movie wannabe Quentin Tarantino.
