Updated AviSynth Plugins folder. Attention this is only for AviSynth 2.5.8!

Highlights:
- santiag. The author made some updates.
- fft3dGPU 0.8.2. Now I have a video card that runs fft3dGPU faster than FFT3DFilter on my CPU. The card is a cheap Nvidia 8400 GS and it still runs fft3dGPU 60% faster than FFT3DFilter on my AMD 64 X2 6000+.
- dfttestMC. Since I'm running AviSynth 2.5.8 I reverted this modification back.
- Ylevels.
- Rotate.

If you have problems running eedi3, read this.

there is a folder called system32. Copy the 3 DLLs from that folder to \WINDOWS\system32. The equivalent folder on XP 64 is \WINDOWS\SysWOW64\

Download: Multiupload | Mediafire | TinyUpload

Is it your encode? The subs are good, probably retail, but there are a few parts where I need to hear the audio to fix the punctuation properly.

I've got this 1080p capture .TS file. It's not your standard 3:2 pulldown, instead it seems to be 3 progressive followed by 3 interlaced frames. Anyone know how to deal with a 3:3 pulldown? Was this a bad PAL to NTSC conversion? The standard IVTC method doesn't seem to obtain decent results. :(

I tried SepareteFields() on a camera pan and the pattern is 3:2:3:2:2. So this works like charm:

tfm().tdecimate(cycleR=2,cycle=12)

And yep, the framerate is a bit strange, 24.975 fps, but motion is perfectly fluent. :ere:

I've got this animation movie (stop-motion) which gets a very low Final Ratefactor...

@ 1/4 DVD = FR10.60
Image

@ 1/5 DVD = FR12.55
Image

so I guess I just make a CRF 19 like this:

"D:\x264\x264.exe" --preset veryslow --crf 19 --level 4.1 --output "h:\dvd\sample.mkv" "h:\dvd\sample.avs" --no-fast-pskip --sar 32:27

it will be so small, 'cause of the compressibility... :lol:

Try adding --tune grain to that commandline and yep --crf 18 or --crf 19 should do the rest.

If it's not, then lower the Psy-Trellis, --psy-rd 1.0:0.15

otherwise --tune grain alone uses by default --psy-rd 1.0:0.25

Post Re: Ripping/encoding/releasing Q & A Prt. III
Profiles, ref frames, resolutions, etc. It's done like this:

Code:
    Level    MaxDPB  vbv-maxrate  vbv-bufsize
     3.0     3,037.5    10,000       10,000
     3.1     6,750      14,000       14,000
     3.2     7,680      20,000       20,000
     4.0    12,288      20,000       25,000
     4.1    12,288      50,000       62,500
     4.2    13,056      50,000       62,500
     5.0    41,400     135,000      135,000
     5.1    69,120     240,000      240,000

Calculate the max number of reference frames as follows:

  • Round up width and height (purely for this calculation, not the encode) to the nearest mod 16 value
  • Reference frames = MaxDPB * 1024 / 1.5 / ( mod16_width * mod16_height )
  • Round down the result

Nope, I couldn't get it to be completely blend-free either. Using srestore() there wasn't that many blends remaining though. Maybe that's the best result you'll get?

This looks to fare slightly better than srestore on the sample, though I dunno how well it'll cope with the full movie...

Code:
assumetff()
tdeint(mode=1)
changefps(250)
selectevery(10,5)

Above script / tdient(mode=1).Srestore()

EDIT: Source of script/more info etc.
