I'd suggest using the bitrate, it's much safer (setting by size may calculate wrong bitrate sometimes...)

I do have an idea with heini-mr b-vop settings 1/1/0 and then setting +1 or +2 to b-vop, erm sensitivity if I recall correctly. I think that should have a good picture and be a good alternative for 85. Didn't have a chance to test properly yet |

But I read somewhere (FH, I think) that MSP and VHQ should allways be set to max 6;4. Am I wrong? That is why I asked where I would change to other matrix or these settings If needed... Lower values keep more details, specially grain, but the compressibility is a bit lower. Try the preset as it is, and change it only after seeing the final encode.
