Hey I gotta make Kristanna Loken's nipples shiny

Hmmm but I think it might not be the source. Who knows, perhaps the SAP version of 6of9 also is more compressible like heini become! :beh:

Post subject:

Absolutely the same thing with Bloodrayne

V3 1/1/1 - 7,71 mb

6of9 1/1/1 - 7,75 mb

Which means hq presets now get a major change! I'll upload the new package as soon Ass I complete the tests with Jawor 1cd I talked bout earlier! :beh:

just a thought... I appreciate what youre doing here lux & I'm sure everyones gonna love your new presets but.....
from what I'm noticing from watching you in action, its becoming apparent that no matter what you do, there will always be an exception to the rule :fouet: :die:

Well it's pretty late here, 4:30 am

Gonna up the package soon and then hit the sack.

Changes made I'll need to re-visit later:

J2cd replaced with heini 2/1.62/0, theory makes me believe it should offer the same compression :fishy:

I'll test 6of9 2/1.62/0 (v3hr replacement) on Bloodrayne full encode tomorrow.

J1CD 1/1/1 sample test was less compressible than V3LR 2/1.62/0, that one got me confused.

Oh and dunno what to do with MPEG but I guess it's a nice middle :stupid:

Heh, thanks, but I was already wearing womens clothing drunk 2 days ago :D

Anyways I updated the package, and for now I guess 55 and 95 can be ignored, until I crap out something half ass decent cause my eyelids are closing and my anus feels too sober

Good night :slap: :bye: :gayb:

V undersized by the same amount of MBs using the new LUX-85. I will try a larger comptest later today.

This gonna be interesting :ele:

I've got an hour before I head for work so am testing again just so I confirm if 6of9 2/1.62/0 really is the replacement for v3hr :teeth:

Author:  Lux Delux [ Tue Jun 19, 2007 12:38 pm ]
Post subject:

Shit, seems I was wrong, new package up. V3HR is back inside after heini and so is J2CD.

V3 is though replaced by 6of9 2/1.62/0, I'll test that on a full encode soon enough.

Also put, for between J1CD and V3LR...- J1CD with -2 b-vop :fishy:

I think the steps from Heini to max heini_lr6of9 makes sense now, having a nice range between compression levels. Now to figure out the exact percent ranges for usage.

Let's see about that 6% comptest :D

Just change this:
Code:
SelectRangeEvery^(466, 14^)

to this:
Code:
SelectRangeEvery^(233, 14^)

:ele:

The automatic loading of a LUX preset after finishing the comptest is still not working, but at least it suggests the right LEVEL.

Don't write:
Lux Delux wrote:
3) inside the .txt file write

Code:
COMPTEST sizeMB

where size is the size of your video, like 1162MB for example.

use:
Code:
COMPTEST-CT sizeMB

or
Code:
LUX-CT sizeMB

And this is the new version (I downloaded your latest pack and updated some lines inside the .bat): http://maxupload.com/F72D1AAF

Edit: you already wrote the LUX-CT in the first post! :beh:

V: after the new 6% comptest the result was still 108. As I said earlier the encode with the new and old LUX-85 were nice, but a bit undersized. Modifying the script a bit I could fix it or I could use LUX-90.

I think LUX-80/90 is an interesinting area. After more tests we could see if this needs more adjustments:

89-100 - LUX-80
101-109 - LUX-85
110-120 - LUX-90

so same comptest result with 6% ? :beh:

Hmmm yes all the presets would need more testing, my encodes take sooo long

It seems I'll get undersizing with comptest result 73%. Which means I used V3LR. I consider that a good thing. :pooper:

Perhaps we don't need a preset between jwr1cd and V3LR at all ?

BTW, the quants for V using the new LUX-85 were these:
Code:
[ DRF analysis ]

Average DRF: 2.731325
Standard deviation: 0.618195
Max DRF: 4

DRF{2:      0 (  0.000 %)

B-VOPs average DRF: 3.191788
B-VOPs std. deviation: 0.393707

And it looks great :pooper:
I think I'm going to do less denoising and try LUX-85 one more time.

Uhmmm something strange is happening here....

When shit starts running it tells me threads requested 26 and threads in use 26. Then it doesn't start encoding the first pass but automatically jumps to 2nd and says it's done.

WTF? :grrr:

Can it be that I can't have 1 encode and a comptest running at the same time after I updated ? :stupid:

Gonna restart windows again, whadda hell, hope it's just a bug

I removed xvidcore.dll from the bin and now the encode is running fine. :fishy:

But didn't before say xvid_encraw something instead of now xvid-1.2.0-dev in the .bat encoding window? :fishy:

Author:  elguaxo [ Wed Jun 20, 2007 2:26 am ]
Post subject:

Interesting. It runs fine on my machine, but someone at DXC is testing this too and he had problems.

xvidcore.dll should be optional then.

Author:  Lux Delux [ Wed Jun 20, 2007 2:29 am ]
Post subject:

I guess it's a problem with older machines like mine then. Oh well at least it's running now :D

Dunno why it says bitrate 1852, right to the number of frames to encode. I mean the theoretical bitrate in this instance should be ~2000. Oh well, guess I just pooped myself or something.

On my source, 73% comptest, gave undersizing with V3LR it seems the new one with few percent less will have proper sizer, I'll know tomorrow hopefully...

So if anyone gets a comptest within that range please test. I know some of you are avoiding it for reasons unknown :fouet: :fouet: :fouet:

I guess it would be good if it undersizes, giving you a chance to use a higher quality matrix.

Though I dunno if MPEG would be IT :crazy2:

Can you open the script in vdubmod? If you can than the script should be fine.

Try removing xvidcore.dll from the bin folder, gives problems on some machines... :beh:
