Last night I put myself to sleep with Faces in the Crowd (2011). Nothing special, a bit dull. The ending sucked big time. Not to mention that the moment I saw one of the characters I knew he was the bad guy. But it was a good sleeping pill.

Contagion (2011)

It's not a bad movie as such, but I must say I expected more, much more. When I saw a trailer, I was very happy, I thought that I'll get a thrilling outbreak movie with big star cast directed by an excellent director, and I love outbreak movies. But after the movie ended, I felt like I was watching a what-if documentary on Discovery Channel, and an excellent one, narrated by a great cast. I'm not sorry I watched it and I don't feel my time was being wasted, but I lacked some action, some tension, some excitement.

Also saw Chillerama (2011)

It's an omnibus of three mini-movies which vary in quality and coolness - the first one about a giant sperm is plane awesome, with Eric Roberts as General Bukkake (and general bukkake we saw ), the other two are not that bad either (Gay werebears was the weakest one, the Diary of Anne Frankenstein was a little bit touch-and-go, I liked it but I'm quite certain that some people will hate it). As they often are, the mini-movies are all connected by a general plot which is good and gets better towards the ending. Anyway, the power of shit compells me to recommend this one to everyone here.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011)

I didn't expect much, but it turned out to be a great movie! Really enjoyed it.

Also watched 7 episodes of Misfits season 3 in the last two days. With one episode to go, I can say that it was a great season. I thought it'll be crap without Nathan, but the new guy Rudy took the show.

Watched all three movies based on Stieg Larsson's books.

Liked the movies but also heard that books are way much better so I guess I'll read the books also...only when I find some time.

The 3 books were the missus Christmas present and she read all three (600 pages each) in less than 3 weeks, so I guess they are good.

And I read about the Swedish films before getting them. The whole thing was planned and filmed as a TV series and the movies are just the "short" version of each book. So in order to watch them in their uncut form try the TV series (6 parts) instead of the movies. I was planning to encode them, but I don't know if I will have the time.

I watched Dylan Dog: Dead of Night (2011)

Such a crap Except for the name and the clothes, this had absolutely nothing to do with Dylan Dog, I felt like I was watching some Buffy spinoff. I'm a big fan of the comic book series, so I might be slightly biased, but I'm quite certain that this is the worst comic book adaptation I ever saw.

If anyone wants to see a proper Dylan Dog themed movie, I recommend Dellamorte Dellamore (1994) which, although it technically isn't a DD adaptation, genuinely transfers the comic book atmosphere to the screen.

It's even not such a crap as it is a fucking waste of time to watch it...as Dream House (2011) I watched last night.
What a fucking bloody waste of time.

And I still have the last season of Dexter on my laptop at work, but lately I'm reading books here, so I don't have time to watch that either.

V for Vendetta. This Anonymous shit got me so I wanted to watch it again.

Season of the Witch. Watchable, nothing special or something. Easy watching, that's all.
