In a new interview to promote his new book, Red: My Uncensored Life in Rock, the former Van Halen lead singer, now 63, recalls how aliens once tapped into his mind through a wireless connection.

"It was real," he tells MTV's Web site, Hive.com "Aliens were plugged into me. It was a download situation. This was long before computers or any kind of wireless. There weren't even wireless telephones. Looking back now, it was like, 'Fuck, they downloaded something into me!' Or they uploaded something from my brain, like an experiment. 'See what this guy knows.'"

He says he could fill another book on his alien encounters alone.

Says Hagar, "I love it, man. I'm into it deep."
