Ah I see, I got confused seeing the J2CD matrix was used Anyways, sample looks smashing, Im glad the filtering helped make it better than without it
And I'm judging that by watching it FS on my monitor as usual
Oh and nice collection of of encoding windows you got there bud
/me sets to make a comptest for Nibelungs

I was going to ask how to see which matrix was used.

Lux Delux wrote: BTW I was wondering, elguaxo you said something about changing the audio fps when we have a movie that has it changed from the DVD. In this case I'll have an output of 20fps. Will I have to change the audio then too? I posted a similar guide at FH. It was for a 23.976 -> 25 restoration. Quote: Well, reencoding audio to 25fps is not the right expression. The new video will be a bit shorter (4%), so the audio must be shorter too. BeHappy is very easy: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=104686Link to latest BeHappy package: http://www.box.net/shared/nkihizx1dhSelect your source -> destination and do a Timestretch Framerate based transform: 23.976 -> 25 It is a lossy process. ellroy wrote: Thanks again. :thumbd: Edit: Maybe thanked too fast actually, BeHappy gives me a error message and quits every time. Strange. I just tried it and it works: Then Enqueue -> Queue Tab -> Start But there are tons of other programs that can do the same. BeSweet for example, also available at doom9.
Is 20fps SA friendly?

in your drf post it shows the matrix used quant matrix
Code: Custom intra quant matrix: 8 8 9 11 12 17 18 24 8 9 11 12 17 18 24 25 9 10 13 16 19 23 25 30 10 14 16 19 23 26 30 31 14 15 19 22 26 29 31 35 15 20 22 26 29 32 35 36 20 21 27 28 33 34 36 37 21 27 28 33 34 36 37 38 Custom inter quant matrix: 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30

Elguaxo was too fast
Thanks Dunno if it's SA friendly but according to doom9 that's supposed to be the movie bitrate.
So in this case I would do 29.97 to 20 for audio?

29.97 to 20, 23.975 to 20 are the same thing. But Behappy can figure that out on it's own when doing a "Framerate based transform". If Behappy doesn't work (because of the odd 20fps framerate), try Besweet. A 23.976 to 25 sample:
Code: "C:\BeSweet.exe" -ota( -r 23976 25000 ) -lame( -m m --alt-preset 96 -p ) -core( -input "F:\fsm.ac3" -output "F:\fsm.mp3" )

BTW Vae I think heini_mr-sap is more SA compatible than Jawor's 2cd and I think with not yet added LUX-75 you would get the same if perhaps not better quality?
Perhaps you'd like to test it with the same filters? Would be your last attempt on an already fine encode
Until I upload the new pack (cause Im testing some other stuff too) you can add it manually. Just open xvid_presets_25h.csv make sure it's the one with h and then add 2 new lines at the end:
Code: "LUX-75","1","4","1",".",".","2","162","0","heini_mr-sap.xcm","3",".",".",".",".",".",".",".",".",".",".",".",".","Y","." "LUX-75","2","6","4",".",".","2","162","0","heini_mr-sap.xcm",".","2","3","2","4","2","4",".",".","0",".","Y","Y",".","."

Nice, let's see what those filters did
For the whole encode, I think it should give you great quality and the proper filesize

I was checking out further on the 6of9-SAP hack version we've been using and it seems to be henryho's own modification? Seems to be quite more comrpessible than the regular one too.
Running tests and comparing right now, and I noticed he removed it from the latest pack, which means I'll prolly remove it too depending on how the tests turn out

I removed 6of9 SAP hacked from the presets. Through my tests, it offers better compression it seems than both HVS 6of9 or the regular, but naturally at cost of losing detail.
I still haven't uploaded the new pack though since Im testing some other shit still

AR seems good, it's 1.33 too. A small video sample wouldn't hurt

Too bad the dvd qual is crap, but I dunno if you could better this any more.
