I need 177 lines translated from Portugese to English
I downloaded a DVD9 of The Eye (2002)
I already ripped the movie and the extras
The DVD only has portugese subtitles on it. Luckily I got the english subtitles already for the movie itself
The english subtitles for the extras can't be found.
I tried translation myself using a program
But some lines came out weird. Or maybe they came out right, but then they scare me
Code: 17 An old man was inside 18 standing behind me with a dent in his head
Code: 1 00:00:52,436 --> 00:00:54,392 Baseado numa hist?ria ver?dica
2 00:00:58,876 --> 00:01:01,231 Ela viveu na escurid?o durante 19 anos
3 00:01:06,076 --> 00:01:08,146 At? que um dia
4 00:02:12,796 --> 00:02:16,266 THE EYE - VlS?O DE MORTE
5 00:02:33,716 --> 00:02:35,832 Um amigo meu trabalha num hospital
6 00:02:36,116 --> 00:02:39,506 De vez em quando ele v? sombras estranhas meio ocultas na noite.
7 00:02:41,356 --> 00:02:43,472 Depois disso, algu?m morria no dia seguinte.
8 00:02:46,356 --> 00:02:48,074 Eu estava num carro...
9 00:02:48,516 --> 00:02:49,915 quando vi um homem idoso
10 00:02:50,316 --> 00:02:51,829 vestido com um fato muito fora de moda.
11 00:02:52,516 --> 00:02:53,744 O mais estranho era
12 00:02:54,596 --> 00:02:57,906 que ele estava parado no meio de uma auto-estrada com muito movimento!
13 00:03:01,836 --> 00:03:04,509 Eu estava no hall ? espera do elevador.
14 00:03:07,396 --> 00:03:09,273 Pelo monitor de v?deo,
15 00:03:09,636 --> 00:03:12,070 vi que o elevador estava vazio.
16 00:03:12,516 --> 00:03:14,427 Mas quando as portas se abriram
17 00:03:15,036 --> 00:03:17,106 estava um homem idoso l? dentro,
18 00:03:19,476 --> 00:03:21,194 de costas para mim e com a cabe?a curvada.
19 00:03:23,316 --> 00:03:24,635 ELES J? O VlRAM...
20 00:03:26,556 --> 00:03:27,955 E VOC??
21 00:03:32,716 --> 00:03:34,911 Sem d?vida que eu acredito que os esp?ritos existem.
22 00:03:35,676 --> 00:03:37,826 N?o sei se lhes podemos chamar de fantasmas
23 00:03:38,156 --> 00:03:42,035 mas acredito que as almas das pessoas vivem para al?m da sua morte f?sica.
24 00:03:44,476 --> 00:03:45,625 Eu acredito em fantasmas
25 00:03:46,876 --> 00:03:49,913 em grande parte devido a minha educa??o religiosa.
26 00:03:52,516 --> 00:03:54,666 Eu n?o fa?o filmes h? tanto tempo.
27 00:03:56,316 --> 00:03:59,547 Sinto muito falta disso. ? o meu meio.
28 00:04:02,236 --> 00:04:06,388 Por isso, n?o consegui resistir ? proposta de produzir este filme.
29 00:04:08,036 --> 00:04:10,914 Outra coisa que me atraiu para me juntar a este projecto,
30 00:04:11,436 --> 00:04:12,755 eram as tr?s pessoas envolvidas.
31 00:04:12,996 --> 00:04:13,985 Em primeiro lugar, Peter Chan.
32 00:04:14,516 --> 00:04:18,589 Sempre quis fazer um filme de terror, porque tenho p?nico de fantasmas,
33 00:04:19,156 --> 00:04:21,112 pensei que algu?m que se assusta com tanta facilidade,
34 00:04:21,516 --> 00:04:22,426 faria um excelente filme de terror.
35 00:04:22,716 --> 00:04:23,990 Em segundo lugar, os lrm?os Pang.
36 00:04:24,676 --> 00:04:26,951 A primeira vez que li o argumento deles, foi uma experi?ncia impressionante.
37 00:04:28,156 --> 00:04:30,272 Pensava: ''Quem poder? fazer este filme?'' Com certeza que eu n?o.
38 00:04:30,956 --> 00:04:33,186 Quando os lrm?os me contaram a hist?ria pela primeira vez,
39 00:04:33,756 --> 00:04:34,666 fiquei preso.
40 00:04:35,956 --> 00:04:37,912 Baseia-se numa not?cia verdadeira.
41 00:04:41,436 --> 00:04:44,189 Havia uma mulher que era cega desde a nascen?a.
42 00:04:45,716 --> 00:04:49,231 Um dia fez uma opera??o e recuperou a vis?o.
43 00:04:49,636 --> 00:04:52,753 Todas as pessoas pensaram que aquele era um final feliz,
44 00:04:53,076 --> 00:04:55,431 no entanto, uma semana mais tarde, ela suicidou-se.
45 00:04:55,956 --> 00:04:58,151 Este incidente, inspirou os lrm?os Pang,
46 00:04:59,356 --> 00:05:01,631 a desenvolver outra hist?ria que ? THE EYE - VlSAO DE MORTE.
47 00:05:15,196 --> 00:05:17,756 ? extremamente dif?cil para uma pessoa que v?,
48 00:05:18,396 --> 00:05:19,954 compreender verdadeiramente a cegueira.
49 00:05:20,356 --> 00:05:22,870 Porque n?o podemos nunca vivenciar verdadeiramente,
50 00:05:23,716 --> 00:05:25,946 aquilo porque passam e como se sentem.
51 00:05:26,356 --> 00:05:29,189 lnterpreto o papel de uma personagem que ficou cega muito nova,
52 00:05:30,516 --> 00:05:31,710 A sua impress?o do mundo
53 00:05:32,196 --> 00:05:35,745 ? tremendamente diferente da das pessoas ? sua volta.
54 00:05:37,116 --> 00:05:39,266 Basicamente ela vive no seu pequeno mundo.
55 00:05:42,156 --> 00:05:46,946 A sua cegueira f?-la extremamente sens?vel a ru?dos e movimentos ? sua volta.
56 00:06:09,996 --> 00:06:12,385 Existem muitos filmes acerca da vis?o sobrenatural.
57 00:06:12,996 --> 00:06:15,954 Mas e acerca de se verem fantasmas sem nos apercebermos disso?
58 00:06:18,196 --> 00:06:20,664 Tudo ? novo aos seus olhos.
59 00:06:21,596 --> 00:06:25,225 Por isso ela n?o sabe ver a diferenca entre seres humanos e fantasmas.
60 00:06:25,956 --> 00:06:28,390 Vai levar algum tempo at? ela se aperceber do que realmente ela tem visto.
61 00:06:29,236 --> 00:06:33,024 Quando estava no hospital, vi uma sombra negra... um homem,
62 00:06:38,396 --> 00:06:40,864 ele levou uma mulher idosa com ele.
63 00:06:41,276 --> 00:06:43,426 Foi um papel dif?cil para mim,
64 00:06:44,676 --> 00:06:47,668 tive de interpretar uma pessoa muito mais velha,
65 00:06:50,076 --> 00:06:52,226 al?m de ele ser um psic?logo.
66 00:06:52,556 --> 00:06:55,275 Ele ? algu?m com uma grande forma??o e sensibilidade,
67 00:06:55,756 --> 00:07:00,352 que deve saber controlar e consolar os seus pacientes.
68 00:07:03,476 --> 00:07:05,546 Achei o meu papel um grande desafio,
69 00:07:06,316 --> 00:07:08,671 na realidade, ? o mais dif?cil que tive de fazer at? hoje.
70 00:07:09,076 --> 00:07:12,193 O filme todo se passa ? volta desta personagem feminina.
71 00:07:14,596 --> 00:07:17,064 Ela passa por muitas situa??es extremas,
72 00:07:20,396 --> 00:07:24,105 e passa por v?rias lutas internas muito violentas.
73 00:07:24,476 --> 00:07:26,831 Medo, tristeza, esgotamento nervoso,
74 00:07:28,756 --> 00:07:32,988 tive de mostrar estas emoc?es com uma violenta intensidade.
75 00:07:33,596 --> 00:07:36,235 Este papel foi um grande desafio para mim,
76 00:07:36,596 --> 00:07:39,713 muito diferente de todos os pap?is que at? agora fiz,
77 00:07:39,956 --> 00:07:43,028 que tinham mais a ver com a minha personalidade.
78 00:07:43,636 --> 00:07:44,751 Mas desta vez isto n?o aconteceu.
79 00:07:45,036 --> 00:07:48,153 Tive de convencer os espectadores que vejo coisas que na realidade, nunca vi!
80 00:08:02,076 --> 00:08:04,874 H? uma cena num elevador,
81 00:08:05,356 --> 00:08:10,305 Eu entro no elevador e depois um homem idoso aparece atr?s de mim.
82 00:08:12,276 --> 00:08:14,870 Era um espa?o t?o pequeno e sufocante,
83 00:08:15,356 --> 00:08:19,429 e lentamente, o idoso aproximava-se mais e mais.
84 00:08:19,876 --> 00:08:22,868 Assustou-me muito quando o est?vamos a filmar. Vieram-me as l?grimas aos olhos.
85 00:08:51,396 --> 00:08:53,626 Acredito que h? sempre p?blico
86 00:08:53,956 --> 00:08:56,311 para filmes de horror e suspense.
87 00:08:57,196 --> 00:09:02,065 Se se investirem os recursos certos, motivar as estrelas e o realizador certos,
88 00:09:05,916 --> 00:09:11,434 os filmes de terror s?o um g?nero muito demonstrado, forte e bem sucedido.
89 00:10:17,036 --> 00:10:21,427 THE EYE - VlS?O DE MORTE
90 00:10:47,533 --> 00:10:49,922 BASEADO NUMA HlST?RlCA VER?DlCA
91 00:10:54,013 --> 00:10:56,368 ELA VlVEU NO ESCURO DURANTE 19 ANOS...
92 00:11:01,373 --> 00:11:03,682 AT? QUE UM DlA
93 00:12:07,933 --> 00:12:11,005 THE EYE - VlS?O DE MORTE
94 00:12:29,733 --> 00:12:32,725 Estes dois realizadores est?o entre as pessoas
95 00:12:33,213 --> 00:12:35,488 mais fascinantes que eu alguma vez conheci.
96 00:12:35,813 --> 00:12:37,644 Eles s?o completamente id?nticos!
97 00:12:39,013 --> 00:12:41,573 N?o o comas... mas tenta!
98 00:12:42,173 --> 00:12:44,641 ? muito dif?cil distinguir um do outro.
99 00:12:50,373 --> 00:12:51,283 S?o muito c?micos!
100 00:12:51,853 --> 00:12:57,371 Muita energia, muito criativos e extremamente apaixonados.
101 00:12:58,853 --> 00:13:03,131 H? uns anos atr?s eu vi um filme do Oxide,
102 00:13:03,773 --> 00:13:05,206 que se chamava: ''Who''s Running?''
103 00:13:06,213 --> 00:13:07,851 vi-o na Tail?ndia.
104 00:13:08,453 --> 00:13:10,569 Era excelente, muito bem conseguido tecnicamente.
105 00:13:10,973 --> 00:13:12,929 Por isso, convidei o Oxide para tomar um caf?,
106 00:13:13,213 --> 00:13:14,612 e ele deu-me uma cassete,
107 00:13:14,773 --> 00:13:18,891 que era uma vers?o n?o acabada de ''Bangkok Dangerous'',
108 00:13:19,333 --> 00:13:22,450 um filme que ele tinha acabado de filmar.
109 00:13:22,853 --> 00:13:26,926 Essa cassete, confirmou a minha f? nos irm?os Pang,
110 00:13:27,173 --> 00:13:32,611 no seu poder visual e no seu talento enquanto realizadores.
111 00:13:33,053 --> 00:13:34,168 ? mais assustador assim!
112 00:13:35,493 --> 00:13:37,290 Vira a c?mara agora!
113 00:13:39,253 --> 00:13:43,963 De entre os talentos locais que t?m surgido nos ?ltimos anos,
114 00:13:45,613 --> 00:13:51,245 os irm?os Pang s?o os realizadores mais interessantes e energ?ticos que eu j? conheci.
115 00:14:12,853 --> 00:14:15,526 Um dia, vi nas not?cias na Tail?ndia,
116 00:14:15,973 --> 00:14:18,692 que um cami?o que transportava g?s, tinha capotado
117 00:14:19,333 --> 00:14:20,686 a meio de uma auto estrada,
118 00:14:21,013 --> 00:14:22,492 e provocou um engarrafamento.
119 00:14:22,773 --> 00:14:24,252 O pior foi,
120 00:14:24,493 --> 00:14:26,927 que o cami?o come?ou a perder g?s,
121 00:14:27,773 --> 00:14:30,651 os trabalhadores come?aram a limpar o local,
122 00:14:31,453 --> 00:14:36,322 e ningu?m notou que o g?s se tinha espalhado por um quarteir?o inteiro,
123 00:14:37,173 --> 00:14:39,687 por isso quando a explos?o aconteceu nada ? volta foi poupado.
124 00:14:42,853 --> 00:14:45,845 V?rios peda?os ver?dicos foram agrupados,
125 00:14:47,413 --> 00:14:51,406 a partir dos relatos de testemunhas e sobreviventes.
126 00:14:56,453 --> 00:14:58,842 Quando est?vamos a discutir a prepara??o
127 00:14:59,133 --> 00:15:00,612 de ''The Eye - Vis?o de Morte'',
128 00:15:00,893 --> 00:15:04,568 decidimos acabar o filme com um grande desastre.
129 00:15:05,133 --> 00:15:07,886 E lembr?mo-nos logo deste acidente.
130 00:15:16,373 --> 00:15:20,651 Quisemos recrear o ambiente de um verdadeiro engarrafamento,
131 00:15:21,213 --> 00:15:23,408 mas foi imposs?vel para n?s,
132 00:15:23,853 --> 00:15:26,970 juntar umas centenas de carros e rebentar com eles ? nossa vontade.
133 00:15:27,413 --> 00:15:30,246 Pelo que tivemos de usar efeitos especiais.
134 00:15:33,453 --> 00:15:37,651 Constru?mos modelos ? escala da rua, dos carros, e dos pr?dios.
135 00:15:54,773 --> 00:15:57,606 Planeamos tudo ao ?nfimo detalhe,
136 00:15:57,973 --> 00:16:01,010 e fizemos o maior esforco para filmar tudo o que pod?amos,
137 00:16:01,293 --> 00:16:04,205 mas tivemos de utilizar efeitos especiais
138 00:16:04,413 --> 00:16:08,042 em algumas cenas para as tornar cred?veis.
139 00:16:08,373 --> 00:16:12,730 De forma a recriar irrepreensivelmente a cena do desastre,
140 00:16:13,173 --> 00:16:17,928 investimos o nosso maior esfor?o, tempo e dinheiro.
141 00:16:29,733 --> 00:16:31,963 Quando ? que usamos efeitos especiais?
142 00:16:32,213 --> 00:16:34,647 Apenas quando ? imposs?vel chegar ao nosso objectivo
143 00:16:34,933 --> 00:16:36,969 atrav?s de t?cnicas cinematogr?ficas.
144 00:16:37,373 --> 00:16:41,969 Acima de tudo, os efeitos especiais servem o enredo, e n?o ao contr?rio.
145 00:16:43,453 --> 00:16:45,683 E n?s temos um enredo muito forte.
146 00:16:46,093 --> 00:16:47,924 O argumento ? muito detalhado.
147 00:16:48,813 --> 00:16:53,933 Tudo acerca desta rapariga, a sua vida, as experi?ncias dela,
148 00:16:54,213 --> 00:16:57,364 foi muito cuidadosamente pensado.
149 00:16:57,893 --> 00:17:01,806 Eu discuti o argumento frequentemente com os realizadores.
150 00:17:01,973 --> 00:17:05,124 E passei algum tempo sozinha, a conhecer esta personagem.
151 00:17:05,453 --> 00:17:09,082 E ? medida que me fui metendo na pele da personagem,
152 00:17:09,253 --> 00:17:12,768 foi-se tornando cada vez mais f?cil chegar ?s emo??es requeridas.
153 00:17:22,053 --> 00:17:26,922 A grande diferen?a entre este filme de fantasmas e outros,
154 00:17:27,133 --> 00:17:30,808 ? que os nossos fantasmas tendem a aparecer em pleno dia.
155 00:17:34,373 --> 00:17:35,567 Em retrospectiva,
156 00:17:37,013 --> 00:17:41,325 n?o houve nenhum esfor?o que fosse desperdi?ado em todo o filme.
157 00:17:42,253 --> 00:17:45,165 Estou extremamente satisfeito com o resultado final.
158 00:17:52,613 --> 00:17:58,688 Fazer este filme foi uma das minhas melhores experi?ncias de sempre.
159 00:18:06,853 --> 00:18:12,450 A ideia de uma personagem com vis?o sobrenatural n?o ? nova,
160 00:18:13,893 --> 00:18:19,206 mas desta feita, a nossa hero?na nunca viu o mundo.
161 00:18:20,573 --> 00:18:24,566 Enquanto espectadores, vemos claramente que a pessoa ao lado dela,
162 00:18:24,773 --> 00:18:26,001 ? na realidade um fantasma.
163 00:18:26,253 --> 00:18:27,163 Mas a nossa hero?na
164 00:18:27,613 --> 00:18:29,968 ainda n?o aprendeu a distinguir o que ? normal e o que n?o ?.
165 00:18:30,333 --> 00:18:34,087 N?o se fazem assim tantos filmes de terror todos os anos,
166 00:18:34,613 --> 00:18:40,483 e de entre esses, muito poucos s?o produ??es de qualidade.
167 00:18:42,373 --> 00:18:44,204 Tenho esperan?a de que este filme mude,
168 00:18:44,613 --> 00:18:51,325 as expectativas e as reac??es dos espectadores aos filmes de terror.
169 00:18:57,053 --> 00:18:59,328 Este ? um filme verdadeiramente especial.
170 00:19:00,253 --> 00:19:04,485 Para al?m de apresentar v?rias formas de esp?ritos,
171 00:19:04,933 --> 00:19:07,208 temos um argumento muito forte,
172 00:19:07,773 --> 00:19:09,968 e dois realizadores estupendos.
173 00:19:10,493 --> 00:19:13,690 Espero que os espectadores se disponham a tentar,
174 00:19:14,093 --> 00:19:15,890 e que nos d?em uma oportunidade.
175 00:19:16,493 --> 00:19:17,528 V?o ver este filme.
176 00:19:18,493 --> 00:19:21,087 V?o apreci?-lo com certeza!
177 00:20:34,093 --> 00:20:38,564 THE EYE - VlS?O DE MORTE

7 00:02:41,356 --> 00:02:43,472 Everytime he watched one of those shadows, someone would die on the next day.
8 00:02:46,356 --> 00:02:48,074 I was in a car...
9 00:02:48,516 --> 00:02:49,915 when i saw an elderly man
10 00:02:50,316 --> 00:02:51,829 dressed in old cloths
11 00:02:52,516 --> 00:02:53,744 and the strangest thing was...
12 00:02:54,596 --> 00:02:57,906 that he was standing still in the middle of a busy freeway!
13 00:03:01,836 --> 00:03:04,509 I was in the hall waiting for the elevator
14 00:03:07,396 --> 00:03:09,273 By the video monitor,
15 00:03:09,636 --> 00:03:12,070 i saw that the elevator was empty.
16 00:03:12,516 --> 00:03:14,427 But when the doors opened
17 00:03:15,036 --> 00:03:17,106 there was an old man inside,
18 00:03:19,476 --> 00:03:21,194 facing the elevator wall and with is head looking down.
19 00:03:23,316 --> 00:03:24,635 THEY ALREADY SAW IT...
20 00:03:26,556 --> 00:03:27,955 HOW ABOUT YOU?
21 00:03:32,716 --> 00:03:34,911 I no doubt believe that the spirits are real.
22 00:03:35,676 --> 00:03:37,826 I don't know if we can call them ghosts
23 00:03:38,156 --> 00:03:42,035 but i believe that the souls of people live on beyond their physical death.
now i'm gonna finish watch mother of tears from Argento

20 00:03:26,556 --> 00:03:27,955 HOW ABOUT YOU?

24 00:03:44,476 --> 00:03:45,625 I believe in ghosts
25 00:03:46,876 --> 00:03:49,913 mostly because of my religious education
26 00:03:52,516 --> 00:03:54,666 I don't make movies for a long time
27 00:03:56,316 --> 00:03:59,547 I miss that. It's my life.
28 00:04:02,236 --> 00:04:06,388 So i couldn't resist the offer to produce this movie
29 00:04:08,036 --> 00:04:10,914 Another thing that attract me to this project
30 00:04:11,436 --> 00:04:12,755 was the three people envolved.
31 00:04:12,996 --> 00:04:13,985 First, Peter Chan.
32 00:04:14,516 --> 00:04:18,589 I always wanted to do a scary movie, coz i'm afraid of ghosts.
33 00:04:19,156 --> 00:04:21,112 i thought, someone who scares himself so easily
34 00:04:21,516 --> 00:04:22,426 would make an excelent horror movie.
35 00:04:22,716 --> 00:04:23,990 Secondly, the Pang Brothers.
36 00:04:24,676 --> 00:04:26,951 The first time i've read their scrip it was an impressive experience.
37 00:04:28,156 --> 00:04:30,272 I thought "who can make this movie?" certainly not me.
38 00:04:30,956 --> 00:04:33,186 When the Pang Brothers told me the story for the first time,
39 00:04:33,756 --> 00:04:34,666 i was hooked.
40 00:04:35,956 --> 00:04:37,912 It's based on a true story.
41 00:04:41,436 --> 00:04:44,189 There was a woman who was blind from birth.
42 00:04:45,716 --> 00:04:49,231 One day she made an operation and recover her vision.
43 00:04:49,636 --> 00:04:52,753 All the people thought that that would be a happy ending,
44 00:04:53,076 --> 00:04:55,431 however a week later, she killed herself.
45 00:04:55,956 --> 00:04:58,151 That incident inspired the Pang Brothers,
46 00:04:59,356 --> 00:05:01,631 to create the story the eye.
47 00:05:15,196 --> 00:05:17,756 It's extremely dificult for a person who sees
48 00:05:18,396 --> 00:05:19,954 to understand what it is to be blind.
49 00:05:20,356 --> 00:05:22,870 because we can never truelly experience
50 00:05:23,716 --> 00:05:25,946 what they are feeling and experiencing.
51 00:05:26,356 --> 00:05:29,189 I play the part of someone who became blind very young
52 00:05:30,516 --> 00:05:31,710 her sense of the world
53 00:05:32,196 --> 00:05:35,745 is completely diferent from what other people sense.
54 00:05:37,116 --> 00:05:39,266 She basically lives in her own little world.
55 00:05:42,156 --> 00:05:46,946 Her blindness makes her extremelly aware of movements and noises around her.
56 00:06:09,996 --> 00:06:12,385 There are many movies about visions of the supernatural.
57 00:06:12,996 --> 00:06:15,954 But how about seeing ghosts without us noticing?
58 00:06:18,196 --> 00:06:20,664 All is new to her eyes
59 00:06:21,596 --> 00:06:25,225 So she can't tell the difference between humans and ghosts.
60 00:06:25,956 --> 00:06:28,390 it's gonna take some time till she realizes what she has been seeing
61 00:06:29,236 --> 00:06:33,024 When i was in the hospital i saw a black shadow... a man,
62 00:06:38,396 --> 00:06:40,864 he took an elderly woman with him.
63 00:06:41,276 --> 00:06:43,426 It was a hard part for me,
64 00:06:44,676 --> 00:06:47,668 i've had to play a much older person then me
65 00:06:50,076 --> 00:06:52,226 besides the fact that he's a psychologist
66 00:06:52,556 --> 00:06:55,275 He also someone very educated and sensible man
67 00:06:55,756 --> 00:07:00,352 that must know how to look after and take care of his patients
68 00:07:03,476 --> 00:07:05,546 I found it a great challenge to play that part
69 00:07:06,316 --> 00:07:08,671 i can honestly say that it was my most difficul role for me to play so far
70 00:07:09,076 --> 00:07:12,193 The movies revolves around this female character
71 00:07:14,596 --> 00:07:17,064 She goes through a lot of extreme situations
72 00:07:20,396 --> 00:07:24,105 and through a lot of violent inside struggles
73 00:07:24,476 --> 00:07:26,831 Fear, sadness, nervous breakdown
74 00:07:28,756 --> 00:07:32,988 I've had to show these emotions with a violent intensity
75 00:07:33,596 --> 00:07:36,235 This role was a great challenge for me
76 00:07:36,596 --> 00:07:39,713 many different from all the roles i've done so far,
77 00:07:39,956 --> 00:07:43,028 that were more like my personality
78 00:07:43,636 --> 00:07:44,751 But this time that didn't happen
79 00:07:45,036 --> 00:07:48,153 i've had to convince the viwers that i'm seeing something that i've never saw before
80 00:08:02,076 --> 00:08:04,874 There's a scene in the elevator,
81 00:08:05,356 --> 00:08:10,305 I enter the elevator and an elderly man appears behind me
82 00:08:12,276 --> 00:08:14,870 It was such a small and suffocated space,
83 00:08:15,356 --> 00:08:19,429 and slowly the old man was getting close to me
84 00:08:19,876 --> 00:08:22,868 I got really scared when we were filming. I cryed tears of fear.
85 00:08:51,396 --> 00:08:53,626 I beliece that will always be an audience
86 00:08:53,956 --> 00:08:56,311 for thrillers and horror movies.
87 00:08:57,196 --> 00:09:02,065 If you invest on the right resources, and motivate the right actors and director,
88 00:09:05,916 --> 00:09:11,434 Horror movies are a succeful and well established genre.
89 00:10:17,036 --> 00:10:21,427 THE EYE
90 00:10:47,533 --> 00:10:49,922 BASED ON A TRUE STORY
91 00:10:54,013 --> 00:10:56,368 SHE LIVED IN THE DARK FOR 19 YEARS...
92 00:11:01,373 --> 00:11:03,682 UNTILL ONE DAY
93 00:12:07,933 --> 00:12:11,005 THE EYE
94 00:12:29,733 --> 00:12:32,725 These two directors are among
95 00:12:33,213 --> 00:12:35,488 the most fascinating people that i ever met.
96 00:12:35,813 --> 00:12:37,644 They are completely identical!
97 00:12:39,013 --> 00:12:41,573 Don't eat it... but try!
98 00:12:42,173 --> 00:12:44,641 It's very hard to distinguish one from another
99 00:12:50,373 --> 00:12:51,283 They are very funny!
100 00:12:51,853 --> 00:12:57,371 They have a lot of energy, are very creative and extremelly passionate.
101 00:12:58,853 --> 00:13:03,131 A few years ago i saw a movie from Oxide,
102 00:13:03,773 --> 00:13:05,206 that was called "who's running?"
103 00:13:06,213 --> 00:13:07,851 i saw it on Thailand
104 00:13:08,453 --> 00:13:10,569 It was excellent, very well made tecnically speaking
105 00:13:10,973 --> 00:13:12,929 so i ask Oxide for a coffe
106 00:13:13,213 --> 00:13:14,612 and he gave me a tape,
107 00:13:14,773 --> 00:13:18,891 whick was an unfinish version of "Bangkok Dangerous",
108 00:13:19,333 --> 00:13:22,450 a movie he had just made.
109 00:13:22,853 --> 00:13:26,926 That tape confirmed my trust on the Pang Brothers
110 00:13:27,173 --> 00:13:32,611 in theis visual power and talent as directors.
111 00:13:33,053 --> 00:13:34,168 It's more scary that way!
112 00:13:35,493 --> 00:13:37,290 turn the camera now.
113 00:13:39,253 --> 00:13:43,963 among the local talent that has come over the years
114 00:13:45,613 --> 00:13:51,245 the pang brothers are the most energetic and interesting directors that i've ever seen
115 00:14:12,853 --> 00:14:15,526 one day, i saw it on the news in Thailand
116 00:14:15,973 --> 00:14:18,692 that a truck carrying gas had turned over
117 00:14:19,333 --> 00:14:20,686 in the middle of a freeway,
118 00:14:21,013 --> 00:14:22,492 and caused an enormous traffic jam
119 00:14:22,773 --> 00:14:24,252 the worst was,
120 00:14:24,493 --> 00:14:26,927 that the truck started to leak gas
121 00:14:27,773 --> 00:14:30,651 the workers started to clean the place of the accident
122 00:14:31,453 --> 00:14:36,322 and nobody noticed that the gas had spread through a whole block
123 00:14:37,173 --> 00:14:39,687 so when the explotion happenned, all disappeared
124 00:14:42,853 --> 00:14:45,845 several pieces of the story were put together
125 00:14:47,413 --> 00:14:51,406 from the witness and survivors
126 00:14:56,453 --> 00:14:58,842 when we were discussion the making
127 00:14:59,133 --> 00:15:00,612 of "The Eye",
128 00:15:00,893 --> 00:15:04,568 we decided to end the movie with a big desaster.
129 00:15:05,133 --> 00:15:07,886 and we thought of that accident.
130 00:15:16,373 --> 00:15:20,651 We wanted to recreaste the environment of a real traffic jam,
131 00:15:21,213 --> 00:15:23,408 but it was totally impossible for us,
132 00:15:23,853 --> 00:15:26,970 put hundreds of cars together and blow them up the way we wanted.
133 00:15:27,413 --> 00:15:30,246 so we use visual effects.
134 00:15:33,453 --> 00:15:37,651 we built models with the scale of the street, of the cars and buildings.
135 00:15:54,773 --> 00:15:57,606 we planned everything really carefully,
136 00:15:57,973 --> 00:16:01,010 and we did the best we could to film everything we could,
137 00:16:01,293 --> 00:16:04,205 but we had to use the visual effects
138 00:16:04,413 --> 00:16:08,042 in some scenes to make them believable.
139 00:16:08,373 --> 00:16:12,730 in a way to recreate with no flaws the accident,
140 00:16:13,173 --> 00:16:17,928 we invest most of our efforts, time and money in that.
141 00:16:29,733 --> 00:16:31,963 when do we use special effects?
142 00:16:32,213 --> 00:16:34,647 Only when it's impossible to reach our goals
143 00:16:34,933 --> 00:16:36,969 through the cinematography tecniques.
144 00:16:37,373 --> 00:16:41,969 Above all the special effect serve the plot, and not the other way.
145 00:16:43,453 --> 00:16:45,683 And we have a very strong plot.
146 00:16:46,093 --> 00:16:47,924 The script is very detailed.
147 00:16:48,813 --> 00:16:53,933 All about this girl, her life, her experiences
148 00:16:54,213 --> 00:16:57,364 was carefully thought.
149 00:16:57,893 --> 00:17:01,806 I talked about the scrip frequently with the directors.
150 00:17:01,973 --> 00:17:05,124 And i spend some time alone, trying to understand this character.

Code: 151 00:17:05,453 --> 00:17:09,082 And as i was getting in the carachter skin,
152 00:17:09,253 --> 00:17:12,768 it was coming more easy to get to the required emotions.
153 00:17:22,053 --> 00:17:26,922 The big difference between this and other ghost movies,
154 00:17:27,133 --> 00:17:30,808 is that ours tend to appear at day light.
155 00:17:34,373 --> 00:17:35,567 In retrospective,
156 00:17:37,013 --> 00:17:41,325 there was no effort that has been wasted in the whole movie.
157 00:17:42,253 --> 00:17:45,165 I?m exetremely satisfied with the final result.
158 00:17:52,613 --> 00:17:58,688 Making this movie was one of my best experiences ever.
159 00:18:06,853 --> 00:18:12,450 The idea of a carachter with supernatural vision is not new,
160 00:18:13,893 --> 00:18:19,206 but this time, our hero never saw the world.
161 00:18:20,573 --> 00:18:24,566 While expectators, we clearly see that the person by her side,
162 00:18:24,773 --> 00:18:26,001 is actually a ghost.
163 00:18:26,253 --> 00:18:27,163 But our hero
164 00:18:27,613 --> 00:18:29,968 has not lerned yet to distinguish what is normal, from what is not.
165 00:18:30,333 --> 00:18:34,087 Horror movies are not made that often, every year.
166 00:18:34,613 --> 00:18:40,483 and from those, few are quality productions.
167 00:18:42,373 --> 00:18:44,204 I hope that this movie changes
168 00:18:44,613 --> 00:18:51,325 the expectations and the reactions of horror movies expectators.
169 00:18:57,053 --> 00:18:59,328 This is a really special moviel.
170 00:19:00,253 --> 00:19:04,485 Beside from presenting various sorts of spirits,
171 00:19:04,933 --> 00:19:07,208 it has a very strong argument,
172 00:19:07,773 --> 00:19:09,968 and two splendid directors.
173 00:19:10,493 --> 00:19:13,690 I hope the expectators are willing to try,
174 00:19:14,093 --> 00:19:15,890 and that they give us a chance.
175 00:19:16,493 --> 00:19:17,528 Go watch this movie.
176 00:19:18,493 --> 00:19:21,087 You?re certainly going to enjoy it!
177 00:20:34,093 --> 00:20:38,564 The Eye - Vision of Death

I thought that this new and improved forum will now be able to recognize what I meant by putting a word "effort" between two colons [*] and draw a smiley which is showing his nutsack or something. I guess it's not that much improved after all [*] - mwahaha, I said "colons")
