  Gonna try a new modem...... so if I dont come back I was having problems
Anyone here experienced with WEP or WPA? When I hook all my cables up and dont use the wireless internet, do I still have to secure it since the modem is probably transmitting the signal anyway. I hate wireless poo _________________ Your offer pleases the TechnoViking

Re: Gonna try a new modem... WEP is really not secure, there are Linux LiveCDs with programs that can crack it in a short time. Use WPA.

Everything works more awful I forwarded all the ports necessary, but they dont seem to work except port 21, that one works http://www.whatsmyip.org/ports I disabled my modem firewall and now they seem to work, although I'm not happy my firewall is off. _________________ Your offer pleases the TechnoViking

 And yes, even you use hardwires through your wireless router, you still need to secure it, unless you can disable it altogether. |
