how do you limit your upload connections in morph (if this is possible)

I'm always uploading 1 or 2 kb to 50 users & I'd like to upload more (in kbps) to say 5 users at a time

I would like an awnser to that aswell, the only way I can give one person/peer almost my full speed is by using the upload limiter and then give away a friendslut

even that sounds good to me for now, how do go about it?

Options tab --> Connection --> Check: Upload Limit and fill in the according KB/s

its always checked here, & kb/s is at 150

i am using the extreme and i give slot only to 5 or 6 people

Try setting the upload limit a bit lower then your actual upload speed, this worked for me with MorphXT and it still works for me with StulleMule... if I don't cap my upload I also get like 10/12 peers with each a couple of kbps speed. Dunno what else could be usefull to get this working, I already stumbled through the official emule pages ( I even registered there to see the full bonanza) but so far no luck for me.

Hmm, then I really don't know. The only thing that worked for me upto now was using the limited upload, but that was/is my last resort

@ tmrc, a friendslot is always appreciated, and I think that goes for everyone

but in the extreme i can only give one friend slot in the morph i think is inlimited

use "slot focus" it tries to give the most amount to as little clients as possible (so chunks finishing is faster)

thus, a brief explanation of slot focus:



1) client 1 can't get my full 40KBs (through ratio limiting or just a saturated download at the time)
2) the leftover from client 1 goes to client 2...ect, then it goes on like that until your upload (for this example capped at 40) is reached..

thats what I'm looking for gav, how do I do that? been googeling for a while, but it only explains how slotfocus works & not how to set it

set "No limit" on the "Slot Limiter" option.

then untick "Don't remove spare trickle slot"

this enables the slot focus behaviour

you sure thats all?? I just did that & over the last minute, my upload dropped drastically (in kbps per peer) & I got 4 times as many connections

its even under 100kbps per peer now

i am try the morph and i think is good my upload at this time is set to 35 kbs you can see in here

it keeps opening slots until your upload capped speed is reached, if its reach in one slot, no more slots are opened. Like in telmoMRC screenshot..

things to try to stop it opening too many slots:
1) cap you upload between 75-90% of your "True" upload speed.
2) try USS
3) is Obfuscation on? i.e. might be ISP trouble blocking ed2k packets?

I capped my upload with netlimiter, to 20kbps, when I made that pic
so it should send those 20kbps to one peer eventually, right?

in stead it opened 80 more slots & gave everyone a few bps, I don't get it

are you sure u have unticked "don't remove spare trickle slot"

don't know what you did but sometimes you need to restart the prog for settings to take effect (but you probably done that already)
or the version you run is buggy

SOTN has nothing to do with slot control and is a complex feature, and should only be used if the user knows how to use it properly, clearly you don't.

i hate it when people give out random advice and clearly don't know what the hell there on about. grrr

Cpt. Scabby if your still having trouble in the way Morph controls your upload slots then i recommend trying ZZUL mod or/and ZZUL BastarD Mod (based on ZZUL) @ http://forum.emule-project.net/index.ph ... opic=65063

ZZUL mod is a simple mod with just a couple of release features such as,
Slotfocus, Powershare ect...

ZZUL BastarD Mod is based on ZZUL with a concept in complete fairness to every client, meaning every client has a chance to get to the top of my queue, there's no banning.

it's all down to the clients wait time and the "Fine Credit System" (which is like an anti-Credit sytem, makes Lovelace look like a big fat leecher)

the FineCS only handles part files, there's no credit system for complete files its just all on wait time, lets just say only the rarest files are every uploaded, theres no boost for high uploaders (this is how the creator thinks the ed2k network should be)

features include,
SUQWT, SmallFilePush, SuperRelease, FineCS..many other small improvements...

Morph or StulleMule (Morph based mod) don't get along with netlimiter. I think Xtreme, ScarAngel or Mephisto do.

Don't use netlimiter or try other mods. Mephisto has a slotfocus that works similar to Morph.

Ey antro, did you solve this problem already? I might give some other mods a try if you haven't figured it out yet. It pisses me off not being able to get the 'maximum' out of it
