Post Re: Help needed OCRing subs
The download went fine, the RAR has spanish.idx and spanish.sub, but I can't access them via subrip. And the idx file ends at 00:42:10:600

1) are you sure it's the spanish subs you included?
2) is it a 42mins movie?

Heh, the subs you included are slovenian, not spanish. And what about the length? Does the movie end at 00:42:10:600?

VSRip gives me a lot of headaches... When it fails I OCR the subs directly from DVD using SubRip. That's the only alternative solution that works for me.

BTW, nice video! What program did you use?

Hummm... ok! I'll try SubRip. :)

Yeah, i thought it was easier to show in a movie instead of some screenshots. I used Adobe Captivate. ;)

When you say directly from DVD you mean without using the vob file ripped? How do you do that?

With SubRip open the .IFO file of the movie. For example in this case the movie's IFO file is VTS_04_0.IFO:

F*ck up this subs!! Now i can't see what's the language... And as the number of streams (32 according to SubRip) doesn't match the number given in DVD Drecrypter it's impossible to guess the stream language. :jason:

Thx anyway gx! Image

If you previously used DVD Decrypter on that DVD, then you can get that info from the Stream Information.txt file.

Yes, but as the number of streams were different they didn't math exactly but i've found the spanish one's. Although is there an option to save it as sub/idx? I'm probably be blind... :shy:

Look at the .idx file, you can open it with notepad. The subs end at 00:36:12:120. I think the movie is longer... :beh:
