Post More crazy shit (pixels and filtering)
Well today I was watching a movie with subtitles (srt) and it looked good. (In Vista)

After that I watched another movie without subtitles and it looked very pixelated.
I made a fake SRT file and gave it the same name as the movie.
The pixels were gone and everything was smooth. My guess is something is wrong with the rendering.

In the old days it was simple. Download a filter and voila. Nowadays I've no clue what to click.

It seems the subtitles activate some kind of filter that isn't loaded when there's no subtitles.

Can someone help me out. Crappy poo

err... you still haven't tried this?

see what your directshow codec-chain is doing by using graphedit.

Open graphedit.
Open MPC and play the file that has no sound.
Go to graphedit -> File -> Connect to Remote Graph and chose the one option you are getting
Make a screenshot of the graphedit Graph

:cum:

edit: an AVI with MP3 looks like this on my system

And for rendering, I'm using Haali Renderer:

Graphedit didn't work.

I got an empty screen while playing a movie. (with the buttons REFRESH, OK and CANCEL)

I also tried ALL of the options mentioned in your picture. None work, which is weird since MKV files dont have that pixelated problem.

It has something to do with resizing the image to fullscreen. If I make the video 100% or 200% it looks good.
Weird though that I found out just yesterday and not before. It's not a biggy, but I always like to find solutions for these problems.

If graphedit doesn't work, then something is wrong with your system!

Yeah I did the exact same thing.

The screen within stays white and I can't click on anything (except for the 3 buttons on the button)

Graphedit is with DirectX 10.0 Build: 060822
And it's from 1998-2002

I've been using it on XP. Don't know if it works on Vista. Try the CCCP forums or IRC channel:
