hi been busy releasing some DVD's past week (a whole series)
but now i have a problem with at least 1 source DVD (the next release)
problem is this: the source should be displayed as 4:3 and even preview shows as 4:3 when using dvdfab or dvdshrink (yeah yeah not the best progs but i keep it at 100% original ) but when done the end result is 16:9 i think. 16:9 picture in letterboxed 4:3??
(original DVD also displays it wrong) IFO says it's 720x576 4:3 AR
is there a way to change this?

DVDfab isn't so bad. Hardly any options, but it does DVDs where DVDdecrypt fails.

anyway. Can you post a screenshot of one of the VOB files before you decrypt it and after you did it.

don't need a screen shot for that. it's real simple.
it is 16:9 before and after decrypt when watching,where it should be 4:3
it is only shows 4:3 when you have preview
perhaps the vobs itself are flagged or something?
i know for sure it should be 4:3, even dvdcover and rest of the series are
and a circle looks oval in 16:9 viewing

think it solved itself...
in a bright and tired of trying to fix it moment, i decided to just burn the disc and see what happens on standalone player
on my standalone and it gets the AR 4:3 like it should
however when i play the disc on comp it gets AR 16:9
weird huh?
anyway i am just going to release it and put a little note to it i think
(it's a DVD i made that has 3 episodes on it but the source dvd's aren't in ep order, so i made my own DVD(s) to put them back in order, one of those source discs where i needed an ep from was that 16:9, will be 2 more eps in 16:9 later on when i get further with the releases)

Dang 17 discs, it sure would have made my girl happy. But currently I don;t even have space for two discs

you can find them on sun-shares.com , releases4u.net and a smaller 1 called release4future.com ...all dutch ed2k sites i use for anime when i need the Dutch language stream on DVD's next to original English...manual search is bloody nightmare on those and no extra info, lot of links even are named weird so you couldn't find them anyway manually
and yes 17 discs is a lot x 4Gig, thought about reducing it a bit to like 13 DVD's by adding an extra ep per disc which would have made it like 80% of original, but i like to keep it 100%

I thought there we're only two seasons of AJK? I'll ahve a look I think i'm at least a member of two of those

2x26 eps that is, makes 52 eps, divide that with 17 DVD5's and you get 16 DVD5's with 3 eps and 1 with 4 eps
easy money huh!? with DVD9 they could have reduced that to 8 or 9
