I go through all that BS of port forwarding etc. etc. It only lasts for 24 hours maybe 48 then I have to change ports and do it again. Yes I made sure my download computer has a static IP.

Are you positive you configured the router the right way?
With all the routers I have seen it was enough to once configure it

My husband configured it first and when it started acting up I went through the instructions step by step as seen on the site portforwarding.com.
Everything was set up right so all i did was change the ports in emule and then forward them with the router. Everything works fine for a day or so, sometimes many days, then I have to change ports again.

Maybe you've set-up your emule client so the ports change at every restart?

No, I checked that. They are always the same and I run emule for days at a time and suddenly I get lowID and kad is blocked. Try to restart and same thing.

Yeah I know the feeling, maybe look up your router info?

I was thinking about smashing it to pieces and making my husband buy a new one.

I guess everytime you restart (or switch on/off) your router gives you a different static ip..

I checked that. The IP is the same and this can happen as eMule is running. Lately it's been happening every couple of days but sometimes it can go several days with no problems.

Why? Does your router force you?

I'm not sure now that I think about. Suddenly emule can't get a high ID and KAD is firewalled. The only firewall on the download machine is a windows one and emule has exception. I'm beginning to wonder if my ISP is throttling the ports.
