Well my 10GB Vista partition has come to an end. Only 200MB free.

I know Vista can change partitions without losing data and I've read people that had it working. But mine is more complicated

C is Vista, D is totally empty and ready for use, E is filled with stuff
I've a feeling I can only add a bit of D to C if E is also empty.

What a crap shit anyway. It's just one disc, does it matter which amount is at which letter

I've never did this before. My advise to you is, think about it better next time you partition your disc.

Why don't you simply move files from "C" to "D" if "D" is empty?

oh and 10GB is plenty for any windows, but Vista takes up more after 2 years

You can do this very simply. I did it last week actually But one of the disks needs to be Seagate I think.

Anyways google Seageate disk wizard. You can make an exact replica with the same partition size of windows
