Re: Ripping/encoding/releasing Q & A Prt. III
I remember using "unblend" some time ago, what about that one?

Re: Ripping/encoding/releasing Q & A Prt. III
I doubt very much it'll fare any better but try it and see... Quote: yadif(mode=1,order=0) unblend(threshold=5,dthresh=0.03,show=false) # Default settings tdecimate(mode=7,rate=25)

Re: Ripping/encoding/releasing Q & A Prt. III
Srestore turns it into 23,976 fps. Is that right, in other words, can srestore make mistakes?

Re: Ripping/encoding/releasing Q & A Prt. III
Nah, nothing wrong there - with default settings srestore decimates to 23,976 fps with PAL input.
Tdecimate is set to return 25 fps because you'll get lots of duplicate & dropped frames if you were to set the frame rate to 23,976 fps. Unblend doesn't work very well anyway for this, so use srestore instead.

Re: Ripping/encoding/releasing Q & A Prt. III
I played around a bit. The best seems to be: Code: MCBobu().SRestore(omode=6, speed=-25, mode=-2) There are still some frames (~ 20%) left that are fucked up.

Well, it's not really better than your suggestion. Some frames do look better, but some don't.

Re: Ripping/encoding/releasing Q & A Prt. III
For breaking use a blow torch and hamer. For creating iso's you could use: http://www.magiciso.com/tutorials/miso-makeiso.htmhttp://www.dvdfab.com/dvd-copy/copy-dvd-to-iso.htmhttp://www.sevenforums.com/software/187 ... rsion.htmlbut there are many others. Maybe even Daemon Tools could do the job. Anyway if you have many more questions about it please start a new thread under the FAQ/Newbie subforum. This thread is for ripping/encoding questions specificly

Re: Ripping/encoding/releasing Q & A Prt. III
I was wondering, wich version of x264 do you mighty encoders use: 1) do you use regular x264 file available on http://x264.nl/2) use a build like komisar's http://komisar.gin.by or jeebs http://x264.fushizen.eu/if you use custom, why do you mighty ones do so? many thanks in advance for your wisdom. kudos

Re: Ripping/encoding/releasing Q & A Prt. III
Stick to x264.nl/ (They're already using JEEB's builds). No need to using patched builds.Jeeb tells you exactly what he changes in the source, and which source he uses.

Re: Ripping/encoding/releasing Q & A Prt. III
i want to encode a anime bluray, wich i already done under linux. thing is: 1) i do not want to scale it/resize. just crop. 2) when i tryed it with dvd's x264 automaticly outputed to anamorphic resizing. this did not happened this time on ND. SAR is 1/1 meaning outputfile is 1918*1076. is this corrct or do i must add something in order to get anamorphic output, if it's really need? kudos

Re: Ripping/encoding/releasing Q & A Prt. III
Blurays not anamorphic resolution so resize that shit If you dont want to 1080p encode. Also using 10bit x264 helps banding and compressibility and higher Bframes helps compressibility from animation side too. 1918/1076=1,782527881040892 For 720p = 720x1,782527881040892 = 1283,420074349442 So you can resize like this; Spline36Resize(1284,720)

Re: Ripping/encoding/releasing Q & A Prt. III
It looks to be quite an easily fixable PAL->NTSC blend-conversion... Code: bob() # use a better bobber for the encode srestore()

It fixes the sample, but if there are scenes it doesn't fix, upload a sample from one of those.

Re: Ripping/encoding/releasing Q & A Prt. III
Pretty sure that's the best yer gonna get. Srestore is deblending it well, it's just that some of the fields have a kind of residual bending artefact and I can't see a way of fixing that.

Re: Ripping/encoding/releasing Q & A Prt. III
Yeah, that's not bother like blended frames but when you check frame by frame shows up like 5-10 different scene. Thanks for checking jb. I appreciate it!

Re: Ripping/encoding/releasing Q & A Prt. III
Need some suggestion for this shit. Also not sure cropped or leave it left side because not allowed zone cropping when you using sar. sample: http://minus.com/lJ8RojGicBFFP

Re: Ripping/encoding/releasing Q & A Prt. III
What are you doing with the hardcoded subs - Crop to remove all the matte, use inpainting to remove the remaining subtitle and make soft subs. Or are you cropping to leave the hardcoded subs? You can do zoned cropping when using a SAR... Code: tfm()
a=trim(0,93).Crop(0,62,-0,-62) b=trim(94,435).Crop(6,62,-0,-62).spline36resize(720,452) c=trim(436,0).Crop(0,62,-0,-62)

Re: Ripping/encoding/releasing Q & A Prt. III
Thanks JB! Checked DVD and there's not have hardcodded subtitles.I used some shitty application. Some of scenes have heavy blocking/banding and vinverse don't work properly and QTGMC killed too much detail or I can't tweaked. And I tried a couple more things with no success. Another sample: http://minus.com/lmKgAKBWTG0v3
