Post subject:  News groups?

Well I did my homework last night. I read that whole guide on newsgroups. I now understand that I am paying for a server to connect to, this lets me dl my files. I use a newsreader to dl my NZB files. But the thing that I cant get my mind around is how everyone that uses Newsgroups say that you can find anything and everything use newsgroups. I didnt find that, I serched some NZB forums and only found a couple of good things and not much horror. Used
http://www.binsearch.info/groups.php And really couldnt find much of anything or any good horror movies that are on this forum! So were are all these files being kept? I am missing something? I really havent found anything that really wowed me yet.. Am i just looking for NZB's in the wrong places? were do you guys find your NZB's?

this my friend is the reason why you will never find any stuff on these servers the greedy isps are offering.... warez should be free and you never should have to pay for it... i hope you have learned a lesson now.... stick to emule or torrents, its free!

Thanks for the info. I think I will stick with eMule for now. Its not running as good as I would like it to because I cant get past my damm router! Most of time I dl from 25-50kbs and upload at 50 kbs just about all the time. Will my dling speeds get faster soon? How fast is everyone else dling?

It all depends on your share ratio, the number of files in your queue, the speeds of the sources that you're trying to get the movies from, low id/high id....

Atm my up is ~30 kb/s and my down is ~25 kb/s but i only have about 5 files unpaused in my queue. I've had movies coming down in less then 6 hours but also some that needed 80+ days to complete. So they're isn't a real straight awnser to be given about the speeds i think.

Newsgroups are great, but nothing rare to find on there.

What I usually find is also on the torrents.

I have a low id on the Mule and I am only using the program for about 8 hours a day. Is this bad? I hear you should never close the program....

The best is to leave it running 24/7 yeah

Low ID is usually due to connection issues, specifically that the necessary ports aren't forwarded on your router/firewall.

You can test your connection with emule and see what it says about the udp and tcp ports.
