Post Pixelated vid?
Hey can one of you dvdripping gurus tell me what causes video to become pixelated (not sure if this a word??) and whether or not it can be fixed.
I just got round to watching "Wild At Heart" and check out these crappy screens.

These are the files:
Wild.At.Heart.1990.DVDRip.AC3.CD1-LnR.avi
Wild.At.Heart.1990.DVDRip.AC3.CD2-LnR.avi

from this thread... http://bad-good.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=5556... not blaming El Mariachi, but how can I tell if what I'm downloading is crap or not?

:good:

Other than that.. it beats me.

AFAIK thAT could be caused by a bad encode or a bad DVD transfer. Not much you can do about it. :cheer:

Cheers for those links, grind. For some reason the decompressor was disabled in ffdshow.

The only other thing it may be is the download got some corrupted frames it couldn't fix. Happened to me once before, a redownload fixed it. To check this, click the link to start re-downloading the file, then once it starts, "import parts to file" and select the finished one. It takes awhile and you might end up with 2 copies, but if it adds 100% of the parts then the download was fine and you have problems mentioned above.
