You on a 32 processor or 64?
Also, did you correctly make the .txt file in the same folder as the .avs?
Hmmmm

I also think the avsutil in the package isnt the latest, not too sure, but here's the link just in case we need it later

Finished. 12.31fps.
Obviously I'm not filtering enough.
The results said "Selected Preset: 90", does that mean I choose LUX-90 for the encode, or LUX-80 'cause I'm in the range 89-100?

Ignore the SELECTED message, that's from the default presets
You look at the comptest result. So it's over 90 which is great, how much?
edit: and here I am encoding at 0.80 fps

I guess I should write something later about that at the first post
Hmmmm I think LUX-85 should be great for this!
I also suggest using kbps in the text file cause it knows to calculate the bitrate crappily with size input.
So let's say
LUX-85 2115kbps
Just put your bitrate in there. Lemme know of the results!
edit: that's with V3HR matrix just so you know.

Ha, I went to bed shortly after my last post.
Started running a 3% comp test in GK, using the lux script for "most sources" (mvdegrain/seesaw) last night at about 10.30pm. At 7.30am this morning it was at 73%
Once GK gives me an average bitrate, I'll re-run the avs2xvid comptest with that bitrate. Need to find a quicker method of finding the average bitrate though, GK seems to take an age if you run anything other than a standard script.
Also, I notice you guys are using spline36resize - a better resize function I assume? What plugin(s) do I need to load to use it?

It's part of AviSynth 2.5.6 or above.

For the bitrate just enter what gknot gives you for that filesize! That's what I use
Dunno what's quicker than that, not anything with scripts, just the calculated average bitrate for that filesize!

Ah right, so I didn't need to run the GK comp test to get that figure then?
Bugger.
Thanks for the heads up on AviSynth 2.5.6, elguaxo.

Getting 1.82fps on comp test now. Obviously the Lux script is a rig killer.

Code: source=last denoised=DegrainMedian(mode=4) backward_vec2 = MVAnalyse(denoised,isb = true, delta = 2, pel = 2, overlap=4, sharp=1, idx = 1) backward_vec1 = MVAnalyse(denoised,isb = true, delta = 1, pel = 2, overlap=4, sharp=1, idx = 1) forward_vec1 = MVAnalyse(denoised,isb = false, delta = 1, pel = 2, overlap=4, sharp=1, idx = 1) forward_vec2 = MVAnalyse(denoised,isb = false, delta = 2, pel = 2, overlap=4, sharp=1, idx = 1) MVDegrain2(source,backward_vec1,forward_vec1,backward_vec2,forward_vec2,thSAD=100,idx=2)
a= last
b=a.degrainmedian(mode=5)
SeeSaw(a,b, NRlimit=3, NRlimit2=4, Sstr=1.5, Slimit=1, Spower=2, Sdamplo=6, Szp=16)
Let's see what I get.

Holy Shit - Comp Test = 123 with that script.
LUX-95!
Gonna try again with a couple different scripts and see.

123 would be better with LUX-90 That's with SoulHunter's V3
TIP: you can roughly see how the encode would look from that comptest, by watching the .avi file created by the comptest in the TMP folder!
At least at the rips resolution. If it looks nice there, and you have over 80 comptest, then the encode will look great!

Updated the table according to the newer pack. It's still pretty damn rough. Testing testing testing

You changed the table you sneaky retard!
Running the 3rd comptest now, then I'll post some screenies from the comptest avi's

With the higher presets your encode should look almost exactly like the .avs, so if you like how the .avs looks you'll love the encode
I always end up with an encode I don't like, but then I realize it's so true to the .avs that it's obvious the filtering I've done sucked ass

LSF seems to have have too much block crap in the background so I'd say mine or the lower combinaion is better Though it seems to maybe have less detail?
Could you perhaps post a different close-up?

Code: Spline36Resize(720,304) a=last b=a.degrainmedian(mode=1).VagueDenoiser(threshold=0.8, method=1, nsteps=6, chromaT=0.8) SeeSaw(a,b, NRlimit=6, NRlimit2=7, Sstr=1.5, Slimit=5, Spower=5, Sdamplo=6, Szp=16)
My mistake, there's no soothe in there, it must be in the LSF script. I was leaning toward the last one too.

SeeSaw has some 'soothing' options. Temporal: sootheT and Spatial: sootheS. I thought you were using those.
And what is the comptest with that last script?

One script was 109, one was 106, I forget which was which.
EDIT: Of course, the log files...
LSF - 106
SS - 109
