 Memory question I bought the computer and I was wondering since the salesman pretty much didn't know much about what was inside the computer.
The computer has a stick of 1gb DDR2 533mhz RAM
I bought another stick, he advised to put in the 667MHZ stick since it would be compatible with the system.
After opening it I noticed the difference.
Will the faster stick slow down to the speed of the slowest stick?
or should I return it and get a 533mhz stick (both were the same price)

Yes, the pc will only use the memory at the speed of the slower stick.
Its the same for if you run 2 hard drives on the same IDE ribbon, like you had an ata100 & an ata 133, both drives will run at 100.

Only Vista sucks a lot and the cpu+mobo temperature are 50+ degrees celcius.

It died on me a couple of days ago.
Normally I build my own computers, this time I didn't want to so I bought a whole new one. But nowadays Vista is put on it.
I was thinking of putting XP on it as well, but why bother. I got Vista the way it's ok with me. I'm not gonna spend time on that computer. Doesn't even have a monitor
Man, I have a legal copy of Windows. How about that!
