I'm thinking of buying a 22" tft next month or so, but I'm wondering: from what I've seen so far in shops, xp is usually stretched out & thus very ugly, can it be adjusted or something. I don't mind watching movies in widescreen, but I don't want to go blind from a stretched windows

anyone have one/ has experience with em?

Same here, never had any bigger then 17" . But i'm using a dual screen setup and i don't think i'll ever go back to one. Was looking for 2 19" this week, 2x 19" is big enough for me. Would cost ~350-400 euro's.

Both my mates have 24" WS monitors.

I believe their resolution is 1920x1080 (16:9)

I have a 22'' and it's fine!

Seriosuly, nothing looks stretched, it's just nice and wide

Though these cheaper ones with the TN erm... matrix aren't my kinda thing ya know.... Try find one with an IPS screen, I think Dell has those, though I think not 22''

I need one that can handle low res (640x480), with a high refreshrate & shit, its to hook up a console next to my pc, the old 17" I have atm still has 16ms & it gets blurry when there's a lot of speed or action onscreen (like a streetfighter game or a racer)

but I also want it to be big, so that I won't have to wait for the tv when I want to watch a movie

Well one has a Dell and he's very happy with it
And that's about it

So I checked some specs myself on Dell here

1920x1200 (1.6:1)
That means small black bars when it comes to a WS movie

Hmmm but if he'll use it for gaming and watching movies....

Perhaps a Samsung cause it's cheaper and has better ms delay

yeah, 5ms is al high as I'm willing to go, I'd prefer 2, but 5 I can live with

Dunno about lcd which handles that res nicely.

You might want to look for lcd's which have pip (picture in picture).

I still have 16ms atm, but it gets fuzzy sometimes (with stuff like Crazy Taxi)
this lcd is 4 years old this month, time to get something bigger/better/faster/more methinks
