So anyways I've lots on my mind and in my ass.

First of all the main idea is to finally merge the site with reviews and crap into the forum.

I was thinking the simplest way would be to make a new section with subsections. The reviews would then be posts.

Now I need to see if Vae has perhaps any ideas on some things I'd like to have inside these reviews, somewhere below or above them perhaps, which would be some sort of script if possible

a) a small thumbnail gallery which opens up complete pics, which would be cool to have some kind of uploading mechanism which maybe does thumbs itself so it would be easier when others would post reviews without a need for ftp access to the server.

b) some sorta Flash video player..... now this would be nice if an encoded video into this format could also be uploaded like the pics.

c) I've no idea if it's possible to have pop-up windies like I do have now in my texts on some words which lead to pics.

I had other things on my mind but for now this is it, let's hear constructive suggestions and stuff. The reviewers would be in a special group which is allowed to make new topics aka reviews. Anyways, I'm loving the idea of a more interactive review section and stuff.

Concerning ftp access, I don't think it's a good idea to let ppl (yes, especially me :pork: ) to rummage around in there. If nothing better comes up, I s'pose that ImageBot and it's thumbnails will have to do.

And for Flash video player... Well, we can always use youtube, can't we?

Well I thought it would be better if would encode these clips ourselves to a much better quality with x264 at the same bitrate like youtube, elguaxo tried this and the stuff looks really great. Youtube I can't stand to watch that piece of shit :haha:

You want the whole review 'site' up your anus and insert them aswell as a subsection into the SBiG forum, right? First thought is why not leave the review site and also insert a subsection at the forum, but that would mean double turds and double the necessary space. So yeah :ele: why not

Was thinking about this again and I think best way to start off is a subsection for the reviews as Lux mentioned in the first post and instead of those image galleries why not first use thumbnails for the images (uploaded to imageshack or simular) instead of trying to achieve it with database(s) and use (like mentrioned) youtube links for the vids.
That way the reviews can get going and if later on it seems necesary or easy to implement the points mentioned in the first post that could get done.

Sorry for the lack of input, and now work has caught up with me again.

Anyways, I've been thinking and would like it separated from the forum. It seems connecting it with the forum that way would be complicated at least for me cause I don't know jack shit of phpbb anymore :lol:

I was thinking of making a new design and then the reviewers would have a default template for the review page which they would fill.

I'd also give them ftp access where they'd dump the files. And a lot more up my mind and ASS.
