So here's another random shitty new topic by yours truly. :haha: Ok, ok this has actually something to do with the site.

First, today I realized my host changed it's hosting plans, so I switched to the newer profile which actually has more bandwidth for less money. Groovy :beh:

Ok next things is this, now after some time I realized the mainsite implementation by Joomla is utter shit and SHOULD be completely re-done...

But seriously... I would like to implement something more responsive, better designed etc. With better browser compliance and search engine friendlier. AND with better posting solution for me and others.... I mean cmon code within a text editor inside a code... what? :fishy: Then I'd actually look forward to writing something again :haha:

Gaddamn I'd even pay for this :stretch: Pfff I knew I should've just continued studying html and crap years ago instead of wanking my ass off :wha:

Well there isn't that much content now... Meaning the reviews....

But based on my idea... which I wanted to have from the start but didn't manage to do fuck shit about it .. :hihi: is very similar to IMDB when it comes to movie/actor/director
relations...

The problem now is we do a lot of crap manually, linking shit and it's hard to keep track that way.... For example everytime I'd put a review with Lorenzo Lamas I'd have to go to his page and manually link those same movies there.... etc.

Blah I had a lot on my mind but it got drowned :lol:

What I'd love the most is a modified posting page where we already have separate parts that are implented into the design when posted... So for example there's a space just for the text, just for the cover, just for the gallery, video etc.

Guess I implemented crap wrong from the start like I always do :haha:

I'm quite certain we could make something real killer here. Also - multiple reviews per page!

Well you know i'm willing to help out where I can (graphix, reviews and shite) but the coding is mostly above my head. I'm sure there are some members that could help out on that part though

But yup the coding basics come first.... I actually dunno where to start. Guess I'd need to learn A LOT about mysql... all I've done with it now is just fiddling around with finished stuff like phpbb here or joomla for the mainsite (both of which I've fiddled with like crap :cracked: )

But since that would require a lot of time just to learn something I'm thinking of maybe going back to the static roots.

Cleaner code and everything else off course... At least shit would load faster... :eek: :poop:

Well if you're looking for a way to present your own dvd/etc how about Extreme Movie Manager? I used it for a while went looking for other better apps and came back to this one.

Yep, I was using that one, but I had problems with the styles. All the styles basicly didn't do what I wanted and I suck at html (or any other language)

I'm thinking of seriously going back to static... Would give us maybe more flexibillity that way seeing I don't know shit of mysql :hihi:

Bleh but anyways we should first consider the design. Pure if you have any ideas feel free to try a few in photoshop.

Then later I can check how to (and this time cleanly) code it into a website format. I'd really like it to be the most responsive and fast as possible. Probably losing the tabs and making an effiecent 1 page design for a review.
