On another note, I'll be removing the metal/music sections completely. Fuck that shit and I don't care :eek:

No seriously, they don't make too much point and they just clog the mysql database while all we want to do it shit ourselves in crappy shit films.

:clown:

edit: actually Im saving space and bandwidth anywhere I can now :clown: x)

Thanks, currently it's fine with space, I just did some things to have more savings on bandwidth in general, especially now when videos on the mainsite start popping.

It's his forum, he pays the bills. Basicly, if he wants to make the forum pink with lots of erections in the banner that's his choice. :ere:

There's plenty of forums with music to your likening.

I've to admit the music section was the least visited section of mine.

Don't be pissed, mate. This is a movie forum, and the less distractions - the better. I loved the music section and visited it frequently, but TBH all of those releases can be found on other forums. Anyway, I'll always check your releases ;)

Is it possible to change the CSS formating of pre tags? According to Firefox WebDeveloper Plugin, pre is formatted like this:

Code:
pre (line 770)
{
font-size: 1.1em;
font-family: Monaco,'Courier New',monospace;
text-align: left;
}

pre (line 790)
{
line-height: 11px;
font-family: "Lucida Console","Courier New",sans-serif;
font-size: 11px;
color: #000000;
}

The CSS is correct and then overwritten by the "wrong" non-monospaced sans-serif font.

Please fix it. ;)

I have totally no clue what you mean with pre-tags. I know CSS, i know formating just don't know what you mean with pre-tags. Butt maybe VV does

Preset Text with <pre> Tag

You must have noticed by now, that tabs, spaces, and enter breaks do not affect the actual rendered spacing on your web page. Well, there is a way around that.

When the <pre> </pre> tag set is used, any tabs, spaces, or enter breaks will render exactly as is. It is "pre-formatted" text.
Important to Remember

* Be careful when using the <pre> tag. It should not be used to align text on the page. It is generally used similarly to the <code> tag to display coding blocks on your page. Always make sure to view your page in a smaller browser window to ensure that any longer lines of text do not cause a horizontal scroll bar.
* Do not use any other formatting tags in the <pre> tag, although the <code> tag can be contained inside a <pre> tag.
* Do not nest any block-level tags inside the <pre> tag. It is okay to nest the <pre> tag inside a <div> tag, but <p> and <hx> tags are no-no?s.
* Most browsers will visually display the pre-formatted text with a monospace font.
* If you want to format the <pre> text to display in a different font or color, you can easily define CSS styles for it by using the "pre" selector in a CSS rule.

hope this helps a bit
i am just the messenger and maybe deliver the wrong one :lol:

Ditching it would break the nfos so that stays. It should to be a fixed length font not a default browser font, i think most of them are unstuiable for nfo files; Lucida Console is pretty much the default for most nfos, iirc.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucida

You should install the font pack, largely because ubuntu's fonts are always a bit f*cked up and on my instances i've had to install the microsoft fonts as elg mentioned; the added bonus is everything looks a lot better too since those fonts look far nicer. There's a thread on the ubuntu forums with all the info you need. :)

Anyway, what do you want the fallback font to be instead, and can you render a sample of nfos to show me how it copes with them?

I think the only NFO capable fonts are Lucida Console, Terminal or MS Linedraw, all of them available to Ubuntu only via msttcorefonts.

If you mean the displaying of special non 7bit ASCII characters you might be right, but on Ubuntu I have a font called "monospace" that can also display the characters correctly. But it is not used, since sans-serif is the "fallback font" set in the CSS file for pre-tags.

Do you have FTP or similar access to the website? It's very easy to fix. You just have to replace a word in a file. :D
