Well a lot of shit was going on and stuff, including me preparing for the exams for the film academy which took a lot of my time and mostly was the reason .... anyways I didn't manage to get in so yeah :beh: :lol: MOTHERFUCKERS :die:

Ok so anyways I'm back permanently now excluding possible summer trips or work... there will be some changes to the forum/site and most probably won't like it but there are reasons for doing so...

Anyways to get down on my turd:

1) I'll have to remove ed2k and similar from the forum content. Mostly due to my name associated with the server paying etc. This hasn't troubled me much before but as I move more into multimedia projects and such it could bring problems in the long run. This is basically the main change I'll be making.

2) With that gone this would basically become a basic talk shit forum but I'd like to add more stuff, for example image uploading for registered users so we don't have to worry about them disappearing in the threads and such.

3) Well this I want to discuss with everyone as I was thinking on making the whole website JUST the forum. Meaning removing the current main page with reviews etc. and perhaps making the reviews as posts or something within it's own forum category. Would certainly make it easier for replies and such and custom user submissions. This opens whole different doors of potential probs but I'm willing to give it a shot.

Also I was thinking of a complete reinstall of phpbb. I know it would be a pain with everyone having to re-register but I think making a custom theme from the ground up together with the forum would make it more bug free and snappier, especially with updates.

And more to say but my brain is a big turd and it's been awhile and I haven't read any posts so please forgive me. Let's get the opinions shitted in :shy: :beh:

Well the last time I was active for a longer time I didn't even check the ed2k threads so for me it won't be a miss at all. I understand for most it will be though.

I for one still love to encode and will certainly be renewing threads on those topics but ed2k is scratching my butt.

I'll give a starting shot at the new design today and I'd like to re-install aSS soon aSS possible.

Second, IMO it would suck big time if this would no longer be the SBiG we know :paf: but your reasons are more then valid (association and such) and you're the one thats paying :lol: so yeah whatever you want to do with it do it...

About becoming a basic talk shit forum I dunno. Pretty doubtfull IMO if that will work and be alive. I mean look at the total number of reviews that have been put up :lol: For that you could just make the toilet the forum :haha: and you're there. Butt who knows maybe it will work.

And about ShitBusters, we should have a long and hot fuzzy talk about that amongst us since its pretty obvious that we can't use SBiG for that anymore. Checking who would like to go forward and how/what/...

Anyway good to hear somthing from you and to know you're not in some kind of treatment center :cracked: :ele:

Is there no way that a backup could be made of the forum with links and all so that maybe someone else could host it? That way we won't lose all those links.

Plus starting from scratch, we would lose so much valuable information, like newbie faq etc. Many of us rely on that. :(

ed2k links removal will be painful, I guess I'll have to browse through the old posts, click some rare shitgems and hope they're still sourced. That should provide me with enough turds to last me a lifetime. But as long as we can come here for a dump, I don't have objections :D

We'll certainly work something out on that front :!

I'm thinking of switching to vbulletin for this site, I'm generally really happy with vbulletin forums I visit and I could easily use it's features for reviews etc. as well. Including ratings etc.

And it pisses me off none of these Vbulletin forums have any turds floating around or Seagal's nasty fat face. Pfff that alone makes me want to buy it and molest it's design :D


I didn't expect much from the academy but I did get my hopes up when they let me in the 2nd final round (and I was there the 4th time unlike the others) so I presumed it's a done deal. Alas they pissed on my face. Fuck 'em :pork: :pork: :pork:

That I already mentioned as a definite keeper. We'll just keep it clean of any links to rips and such.

I also have plans for that particular topic/topics on the new forum to have some sort of constantly updated avisynth script collection and such for easier usage etc. :D

I successfully installed vbulletin. It's currently disabled until I have some basics covered, template shit and stuff.

I also disabled registrations here so we don't get unneccesary crap in the meantime :)
