looks like it is working with that host file i opened it with notepad and added the sbig line, then saved the text file (there was no other way), and later deleted the original host file (the no .txt file extension) and then removed the host.txt extension, so that it just becames " host file " again ... only works with my original bookmarked/toolbar http://sbigare.us/ though, not the 184.172.140.188 nameless IP, we used after the change though...i think

Edit the host file as I recommended, it takes just a few seconds. @Vae, since sbigare.us is it's own domain server, are NS1.sbigare.us and NS2.sbigare.us properly configured as nameservers on godaddy? My Account -> Domain Manager -> SBIGARE.US -> Nameservers edit: and what are the IPs of NS1.sbigare.us and NS2.sbigare.us? I tried an nslookup using 184.172.140.188 as server and it doesn't know anything about sbigare.us |

The server has a nameserver installed on it, if I dig @ns1.sbigare.us sbigare.us it doesn't work but dig @localhost sbigare.us does work. Can't seem to find the setting which tells the nameserver to also listen on external ip numbers, or something.  Oh yeah, I just got back from a week off... ugh I neeeeeeeded it
