More Torrents Please?
Hey since this is a suggestion section I thought I would add a suggestion of mine and state how I feel.
Now I know this is a Emule Site and I'm fine with it being that way, in fact this is one of my all time favorite sites
but I would like too see more torrent releases, I know guys on here would like to have their options open like me
I also think it would draw more new members having more torrent releases, when I download a ed2k file it seem like
it takes forever too download compared too a torrent file, not complaining just stating actual facts, I really would like too
see more torrent releases, too me you guys on here are the best and have a much better movie selection than any torrent site
regardless if anyone paids this idea any attention I just had too get this off my chest and thanks for listening to whom ever reading!

Errm, what d0c brings over to the torrent section is already enough. He does bring a lot too.
So case closed, tis an ed2k oriented forum not a torrent one, so what we have is more than enough actually.

I agree with lux here. This is a ed2k release/index forum, the torrents that are up here can be considered as an extra. That doesn't mean that if you or someone else find a torrent link for a movie that would fit here perfecty can't post it here. Feel free to post any torrents you can find, that fit here on SBiG and are seeded, but keep them in the torrent section. Or if you find a ed2k release you can add the torrent in the ed2k release post.

Whats the problem with dwl from both clients, i use both, i prefer emule, cause its got a much better community (and thats what makes this site soooo great, not the dwl speeds), and besides torrents die fast and young. Just start using emule, it doesnt take forever to download a movie whit "i need a little patience" emule.

if you want to get stuff fast use BT, but stuff disappears fast too there, although it is way better then in beginning as you now have more specialized sites concentrating on 1 thing, like tv or movies only, also the use of a shareratio on those sites helps to keep things alive longer
if you want certainty and more rare stuff ed2k is still my fav...regardless the speed
in the end only thing that matters is that you get the file you want
but yeah if you download and concentrate on 1 file only, yep then ed2k can be depressing
but sites like sbig are for ed2k, the torrents are just an extra service
also if i cant find what i want on ed2k sites i just use my clients own search function
lot's of stuff just doesn't end up on forums for various reasons
bit of a risk, but you get a long way by comparing filenames once you started the download and get sources
and personally i still consider it a bit of a sport, isnt it beautiful that you get what you wanted by doing a chance download?

Torrents are the ghey. They may have uses, but all in all, ed2k has always proved way more reliable and highest quality. Torrents have a fast grab leech/ditch mentality that imo is unavoidable with the tech. Ed2k resists that for the most part and that is why files last longer and have bigger penises. You don't share back you don't get shit. Don't use regular eMule though, it sucks at aggressive slot requests which turns many off. SPeed of sharing on eMule (which is KAD now ) has increased a lot. Leave it on a long time and queue up a good amount of shit, cuz bandwidth and HDD-space you aren't using is a waste.

i was very emule biased one time to, but no more. i think its a time for changes. people want more choices its not 2003 anymore, where emule was the only good thing out there. torrents are up there and is as good as emule.
so why not post both, its not a big work to hunt down a torrent link while you hunt movies to posts from public sites. the torrent link is as available as public emule links now days...
i was doing this posting both torrent and emule links a few times, i hope people will continue it....
this will bring more people over here at sbig and we can grow, and thats the whole point isnt it?. the more people, more movies, more fun...

I can do without a torrent section but I don't mind it being there either. You certainly won't see me releasing anything on BT though.
EDIT: But I'll get the zombie shitter ExtermidOc posted, thanks for that.

I know.
I do have accounts on a couple of registered trackers and use BT to get stuff that I either want real fast (sports) or DVDRs I can rip and release on the good old mule. Basically, I'm an occasional leech-and-seed user.
What I don't like is the whole ratio obsession that seems so common with BT trackers. Often they're not about sharing but trading.

now when it comes to ratio have you heard about public trackers??... there you can leech like there is no tomorrow, you dont have to feel guilty for leeching at all, its a blessing!.. now days i use emule sites to find what i should search for on bt sites, thats the only good reason to be on a emule site... get the info then no fakes, no shit and 30min to 1 hour download time.... bye bye crappy emule links!.... works like a dream every damn time!
raymod who??

the whole thing is that its so well spread so if there is half hit and run it dosent matter.... thats how it is to day, but if you are gonna have torrent on an unknown place and dont spread it, it dies pretty fast. the more places you upload that little torrent info file to, the more available it is and longer it lives... if you upload a emule file everyone can see it straight away but torrents work a little bit differently you see....

Sure, but the private trackers I use (especially when I'm in a hurry) have the files a lot sooner. That's pretty much the only stuff (sports) I don't wanna wait too long for, for everything else eMule speeds are perfectly ok for me.
And then there are untouched DVDRs. It seems to me most interesting stuff is on private trackers. I'd be very thankful if you can point me to alternatives though.
I've used torrentspy on occasion but the torrents I found were mostly dead or dying.

@Lux Delux
LOL!... that poll dont make much sense.... i guess everyone to its own then...
@^Rogue^
its a bit tricky with public torrent sites, you gotta know exactly what your looking for, a little misspelling and no luck with the search. look at emule sites for release name and release group and hunt down more torrent sites to try out, but i must admit is it really rare stuff private trackers is your only hope. if the torrent is dying its because it haven't been uploaded to enough public torrent sites....
