I'm playing BF2 for a good month now and I can honestly say it good me hooked after a few days. Never thought I would like this kinda game since before that I mostly played racing games like Burnout Paradise. Don't think I'm gonna switch back to racing games soon

If anyone here plays BF2 let me know so we can hook up in a squad

nah, its a simulator not a arcade style, its extremely hard..

I bought the game when it came out and still have never completed it....
It's basically too realistic, for example:

- You have to set up each mission and consult you map or you get lost,
- There is no level limits, you can go anywere,
- no HUD, no crosshair, no on-screen text (in veteran mode)
- Each mission is played out in real-time i.e. you get info on the enemy going to a bridge at 13:00, but when you start the mission its 12:45, that's 15mins (in real time) to set up the mines and radio extra troops,
- If you get shot once, your dead
- The A.I. is insanely realistic (hard)

Well I wouldn't consider BF2 arcade style but as you describe it it ain't as realistic as Flashpoint aswell. Something in between IMO.

It's the doom2 wad from the Collector's Edition, being played with the Doomsday engine, which fucking rocks btw.

I like playing this with my friend, when we are half drunk. He can be really annoying with Three human healers, but there's nothing that Legion's Doppelgangers or Hordes DEATH can break.

and the games I can always play are Diablo 2 (with Lod), Starcraft and WC3 WTF .

Can't wait for Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2, any clue when it's coming out? I know it's Blizzard, and that date usually doesn't mean shit with them... But heck, when they produce a game, it's for all times... Starcraft is still playing widely on the net after all these years

me and my girl have been playing the piss out of this one game called League of Legends (LoL)

it's free
but you could pay money for costumes and shit

basically you control a hero that runs around with other heros on this map
buy items, try to kill the other team, etc

you fight along side with your fellow teammates (randomly grouped together) and along with mobs that constantly spawn to kill the other's base

if anyone knows of DOTA (wc3 mod), its by the same people

Finished a 3 month beta binge of Heroes of Newerth. There's a one time fee now, but I'd recommend it. I guess it was based on DOTA, though I never played it. Games last about 30 to 60mins. Best game feature is probably replay. Watch any game (or anybodies game) from any character. There's currently +60 characters and new ones being added monthly.

Oh yeah, I also finished Command & Conquer 4 beta a while back. I'd stay away from that though.
