Well I figured that I give the computer a rest today, turned it off for maybe 6-7 hours while I slept. When I woke, it wouldn't turn on. The button would just flash orange at me when I pressed. A buddy of mine who knows comp hw and I asked what the fuck? and he said try this and try that and nothing. then he said to pop out the little battery and put it back in. Did so, and now there not even lights blinking or lighting up on the mobo. So is it as simple as that battery's dead, buy a new one? or what?

Only good thing is now I can burn some shit off this old fuck.

Was the battery hot? Did you try to recharge it?

You did plugged it back after you replaced the battery, right?

No it was too late (at night) to get a replacement and I had to go to work. It was n't hot though, the comp had been off a lldday while I slept so I dunno if it was when the comp was on. My case is kinda akward to unplug stuff, so I didn't check the ram sticks or the power jumpers. But since there is no power at all now that I put that batt back in, I'm pretty sure its a dead battery.

How could I go about recharging it? Its the one on the mobo. I think its a CR2032 lithium. I hope somewhere local has them and opens soon so I can get my mule back up. Its only 6:30 AM here though Staples or Micro Center probably open when I will go to sleep...

my jumper has gotta be right cuz it worked running always for months. I got it sept, and in jan I got TB hdd and a nvidia 96k. Runs great for what I spent (about $400 with lcd mon/mouse/keybrd/bad spkrs). Dumb sluts rule!

So yeah either its the mobo or some wierd power failure. It booted fine without the battery so probably mobo error. The battery only stores the bios so maybe I need to upgrade the drivers or some shit?

I'd get a new battery. The battery doesn't store the bios btw cause it's a battery

And it IS a new battery, bought a fresh replacement, and it didn't help.
