since i don't give a shit about the All-In-One package deal ( which has internet,telephone and digital tv) i don't use the digital tv, haven't even bought a decoder/digital reciever or telephone for that yet

currently i have the fastest all-in-one, internet clocking at a whopping 50Mb down / 5Mb up
and i pay ?64.95 for that package
to be honest that 50/5 is more then i need

so i am going back to now Internet only line clocking at 25/4Mb that will start Sept 1
...is about the same as what i had before i was forced/auto turned to that all-in-one
that Z3 internet will cost me 47.95 per month

really wanted to go back 1 step more, but then the speed sucks at 10/1.5Mb (currently 5/1Mb ,but then again maybe not ?29.95 and saves me another ?18

anyway i definitely will wait till September 1st as the lines haven't been upgraded yet by ISP

but having to pay 29.95 or 64.95 is a world of difference, especially when you don't use your connection download to it's full potential (and unemployed)

i probably and up with the fastest internet only line since i use a lot of share ratio torrent sites, a slower upping line doesn't help with all those fast fuckers around

I don't care about the download speed as my computer is always on and if a movie takes 2 hours instead of 1. pfffff I'll be sleeping

the upload at 80K ?? could be a bit faster

how do sites like YouTube run with that?

Dunno about Rouge, but my provider has some kind of agreement with google and all their shit (gmail, youtube, picasa, ...) downloads fast at all times.

btw when i downgrade i will probably download more xvid rips again

if i want internet only i have to pay separate for the analog tv channels
internet alone will only be cheaper by a few lousy bucks compared to the all-in-1
(when you want internet you have to take analog tv as well, no analog tv means no internet, am all for cable internet, but this rule is just plain silly!)

so i guess i will take the all-in-one PLUS at 20Mb down / 3Mb up at ? 49.95 ( this was my speed before the auto-change to all-in one)
the Z2 internet only (+ tv) will be ?3.75 cheaper, but half the speed on the up and down)

all-in-one Basic is just a rip off! you pay 39.95 for a lousy 1.5Mb down and 0.25Mb up < WTF!? ... so not really an option, and that's even after the ISP upgrade lol

the alternative is going for the Z1 at ?36.20 (incl TV) but those speeds won't make me jump of joy either at 3Mb/0.5Mb (but sure beats that all-in one Basic which is ?3.75 more expensive and half internet speed)

although on the adsl field you have a little more choice i think (if available in your region, here we go again ...the dail-up days were a bit more diverse, in beginning you had dozens )
now a few big ones control the whole country and they don't even cross each others turf!?
i remember that when i just had cable internet, they announced that a new cable internet company would be introduced to compete, just to avoid monopoly position and keep the prices low...it never came!

wish they go the way i went down with the mobile phone companies...
the prices went down because of the competition and sometimes they even were forced to lower the prices ordered by the Independent Post and Telecommunication Authority, who keeps an eye on those things. But on the internet department they are rather silent when it comes to prices

went to my ISP online account and didn't see an option to go from all-in-one back to Internet only anyway, so if i wanted that probably will have to call or even end the service first and then come back again...didn't dare to do that online hehe

fuck it, it's fast enough and internet isn't cheap to begin with.
probably will start in October 1st as you have 1 month cancellation term, so August 7 will become October 1st and not September 7

still pissed that i can't downgrade even further to Basic.
well i can, but those speeds don't make me happy (but still will go there if i get in money troubles...being online is important...fuck the major downloads then)
really sucks...what a huge gap between basic and Plus on speeds
and they only differ by ?10.
...i know i know...they want to seduce you picking a higher more expensive line
but over 13x more download speed and 12x more upload speed, just isn't a comparrison for ?10.
if you calc like that Basic would be fair price at ?19.95 - ?25 tops (because it also has digital tv/radio and telephone)




btw wonder if i can keep my new modem with the downgrade
or get the previous model again, as the new modem is for fast speeds
