...once we babysitted my uncle's cat while he was on vacation and that cat brought home a living perfectly fine black bunny in his mouth

They do it because they think you are unable to hunt your own food! Seriously, that's what they do with their kittens. When they are very small they bring them "dead" food. As time passes they bring things that are alive, so that the kittens learn how to handle them.

Funny story about pets, my friend had a fat grey cat named Gizmo, sweet and fluffy and also had its front nails removed (i know I think its cruel too). Anyway he had a hamster they got out of its cage one day, and climbed out his second story window and fell to the backyard. It got hurt and stunned so it laid there for no-one knows how long near the back door. We got home, and the cat was meowing and freaking out near the back door like she wanted to go out, we let her out and the she immediately started pawing at the door. we let in but she just sat there in the dorrway, mewing urgently. we came over and she led us right to hamster! The hamster survived and the fat kitty got a got a real good (canned) meal that night. Its amazing to me that natural prey was known to the cat as another pet.

well when i was still living with my parents (a long long time ago in a galaxy ~5 blocks away)
our cat had it's kittens outside somewhere and brought them back home shortly after birth.
sad thing was that she dropped them at the backdoor and left them there. guess we weren't home at time to let her in
not sure anymore, but think only 1 survived

i mean he must have caught it outside as a hallway is no place for birds, brought it into the hallway and had it's way with it in that corner infront of my door

nature is funny interesting and cruel, even birds can be cruel

there is a bird that kills all kinds of small animals and put them on a stick pierced (stacked).
he does that to impress the females
now how sick is that!

Now that's a bunch of heroic cats! The best thing my kitty can do is to climb up on the living room furniture.



But he's very naughty. We changed the wallpapers a few months back. And now...



That's my punishment for being too lazy to opening the doors every time, and learning him to open them by himself.
