If my eMule sucks, as telmoMRC says, how do I unsuck it? I'm connected with a high ID and KAD is open so why am I not seeing all the sources for a movie I've been trying to get for a week now?

I've updated nodes as instructed and still have trouble finding full sources that you guys see. Is there a particular server I should connect to as well?

Do you use some kind of IPFilter? If yes, then update it and use a less paranoid one, for example: http://ip-filter.emulefuture.de/downloa ... filter.dat

besides servers the mule has KAD and Source Exchange, so it's not important if you are connected to some other server.

That filter is paranoid crap. For starters it blocks many of my own IPs!

So I don't need peer block either?

:hyp:

If you wonder why you don't get any sources on files that have plenty, then the reason is easy: peer block (probably using a paranoid filter) + FTiR's IPFilter (which is already unnecessary because of the peer block thingy).

I understand you want to be "secure", but smart people doing the P2P spying won't use those listed IPs. Basically it's your call, you can keep using those filters if you want, but don't complain if you don't get sources.

Maybe this client isn't for you. If everything works now, then fine, but consider using an easier client!
