I which I'd had a better over so I could properly prepare some nice oven dishes. It just doesn't seem to get hot enough

I just finished boiling deer's bone that left after kotlovina for my dog, at lest she will have a feast tomorrow

This weekend was my son's 5th birthday, so we had a feast over the whole weekend I didn't take all the photos, but here's some of the stuff

Calzone with sun dried tomatoes/garlic/olive oil paste + grated Pecorino cheese


Cheesecake


To go with that cheesecake, I prepared a confiture of wild berries which were simerred with some brown sugar and Limoncello for almost two hours on veeeery low heat, until most of the liquid evaporated


Lemons, stuffed with a mixture of lemon meat, smoked tuna steak, olive oil, Dijon mustard, Grana Padano cheese, garlic and parsley


Chicken breast in a sauce made from capers, white wine and double cream, served with palenta cake (two layers of palenta with Gorgonzola cheese between them, grated some more Pecorino on top and baked in the oven) and lettuce with pomegranate seeds, and you can also see some very nice white wine there

(and you should trust me, it tasted waaay better than what it looks in this photo )

Meat loaf (minced pork+beef, eggs, some breadcrumbs, grated ginger, mustarde ? l'ancienne)


Potatoes with mushrooms (potatoes peeled, halved, hollowed, semi-cooked, filled with 5 sorts of mushrooms stewed on olive oil with onion, parsley and garlic - with some cheese added on top and baked)

And finally, something I didn't cook myself, but I wanted you to see, my mother baked this hellicopter shaped chocolate birthday cake

(that's what you get when you are naive enough to ask a 5-year-old "what would you like your cake to be shaped as?" )

Now, all the guests have left, and I can finally relax, pop open a beer, smoke a doobie and watch some movies

I had family for dinner over (finally) so I wanted to cook something else then BBQ because the Father said that he is full of it, zoooooo I made something else:
The ingredients:


The star of the evening (pork tenderloin), and yes CiCi, that is the size of an adult Croatian male cock:


So, you mix together chopped smoked ham, garlic, , cheese, smoked cheese, fresh cheese, pickles, salt, pepper and an egg and you beat the crap out of the tenderloin with a hammer until you get it flat as a rag.


You put saved slices of smoked ham on the tenderloin mop, fill it with mixture and roll it. Then you slice smoked bacon.


Make bacon placenta and roll the rolled filled tenderloin in it.


Put it on a oven plated filled with a bit of vine and water, cover it with aluminum foil, get the oven on 200 degrees (C) and put it in for an hour.
For side dish I chopped smoked, spicy sausages (yes gnollie, mea Butcher called me today, the new shipment is in the house ), smoked bacon, big chunks of onions, chopped potatoes, salt, pepper and grinded pepper.


For gravy I cooked mushrooms and chopped onions on olive oil until juice start to run out of them.


Then I added cream, drop of cognac, 3 kinds of cheese (smoked, fresh and regular) and let it all cook in and mix, make love and stay mixed in.


Lettuce with olive oil and aceto balsamico as veggies.


Mozzarella, tomatoes, olive oil, rosemary and oregano as appetizer with red vine.

I was making deer stew on Tuesday, but not at home and I didn't take photos
It turned out really good, and I used normal, domestic hot peppers (17 of them) because I was making it for 11 people and not all like it hot. Anyhow, for me it was sweet, but 2 of them got pain in their stomach

But there was onions and carrots and mushrooms so not all was about meat, you know. It was....healthy

lexx it's made from filo pastry and in most cases white bulgarian cheese, eggs and a lil bit of vegetable oil which are mixed togheter and rolled up in the filo pastry.

But there are many variation of it with pumpkins or spinach. It's very delicious!
