Had my first "harvest" yesterday. 350 grams of Jalapenos. And that was not even half from one tree. I pickled it this morning (salt, water, vinegar, in cold, not cooked or warm) so I'll put some pics today, later in the day. The few that didn't fit in the jar I'll try baking with cheese
Can't wait to see what they are like.

I can poison the water supply for my part of town....I am on the edge of buying it. Have no idea what to with it, except be scared that someone doesn't "try it for fun" and I'll have to hide it with my other poisons and my atom splitting devices, but anyway...

Reminds me of something from Man vs. Food, they took the french fries, covered them with grated cheese, put some sliced jalapenos on top and baked it a little, just to melt the cheese. Looked awesome

I pickled my peppers the same way. Well, the small ones.
For the bigger ones I use this method: First I roast them, than I grind them with some garlic and parsley, than adding salt and vinegar. And put them in small jars. The final result is something like this. And it's perfect for marinating pork meat in the long, cold winter days.

And for mu habaneros I'll try something different. I saw a sauce recipe, with strawberries, vinegar and brown sugar. But I'll use raspberries instead of strawberries.

And I will dry the rest of them and make hot pepper.

Wow, nice. We do almost the same here, except grinding it. I leave the paprika whole, bit this looks really good. Nice idea!

Instead of vinegar, you can add some roasted eggplant and you'll get hot hot ajvar

By looking at these small leafs and the strange formed peppers, I'll go with habanero on this one.
Did you tried 'em? My taste like bottle of drugs... Hope they change their taste after they turn orange, `cuz now it's just awful. Hot, but awful.

Not yet but I will pretttttyyyy soon. I just spotted today that some started to get red and orange color
But I noticed that they have that great naga smell, so I guess that they will taste ok...

I wanted to order Elephant Garlic, but it seems I can't find good choice. The most I found on eBay don't deliver to Bulgaria. I found just one seller who ships to here, but the cost was unbearable. It was something like 2 bucks (maybe 3) for 1lb, but the shipping fee was more than 30 dollars... So if you guys know some cheap(er) sites, please post them.

Dunno, man... Judging by my experience, local garlic with smaller cloves is tastier and more fragrant, and I tried some of the larger species - they seem to be "watered down", no taste nor smell, so those big cloves don't look that appealing to me.

That cross my mind too. But I just wanted to try it out, that's why I need just small amount of it. But I guess I'll never (at least not this year) find out. Still looking, though.

I was frozen the day after but what the hell, I did have rakija while everybody else had helmets and safety belts (pusssyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyiiiiiiiiiieeeeesssssssssss). Never the less I climbed the top, had 2 cigarets, 2 shots of rakija, and went down with those "healthy fuckers".
And now, off to making, Toni's Anal Cunt Burner...tomorrow is my godson's birthdays and gnollie will make his baked beans from hell and beyond, and I'm responsible for the sauce. So with my next rakija.....I bit you all "To your Health genitalemen!"
