Nice Jalapenos, they do grow first but it takes ages to get red. And even then...not so spicy  Like to put in beans for friends.Anyway, fertilizer? I mix soil with cow "by products"

I started to put the halapenos in jars. This is the first one. Just soup spoon with salt, half vinegar, half water.

Yeah. They were hot in a decent way. I want to pickle them when they are still green. You can't see on these pictures, but some of them were almost black, so it's just before they turn red. |

I just saw the pic of the pickled jalapenos, I've posted last summer. They are great! I think, this year, I'll plant just jalapenos and trinidat scorpions. |

Just planted this year's peppers. 60 seeds Jalapeno 10 seeds Trinidad Scorpion But I don't know how many of them will germ (if any), they're from last year peppers. The trinidad scorpions are from two years ago, so... we'll see. Hope to post pics soon.

Nice, you really like those Jalapenos, a? I have some 2 jars of habanero and one with naga so I planted only few habaneros and few scotch bonnets, I'll see what will come out. And I left 2 trees from lest year inside house and they didn't dry out totally so I'll try to get something from them also, just as a test. |

Nah, I'll only plant 5-6, maybe 10 Jalapenos, depends how many of them will germ. The rest of them are for give-away. |

I managed to save one Scotch Bonnet tree over the winter and it already started to bloom, I mean little shits that will soon turn to flowers already started to spring out

Mine are ridiculously pathetic so far. Here are some updates. Trinidat Scorpions doing fine. Will flower soon. They have some lices on them thou :XXXX Trained them a little. Will see if those bottom branches grow.   Those are 3 habanero plants sharing a pot. Tried some training on them too. Shout grow bushy and nice   My first Jalapeno. Looks a bit different from the ones from last year. Is it possible they cross pollinated or something >?  This here s a lone Habanero plant.  Group view without the TS :PPP

To get rid of the lice you can soke some tobacco in water and spray it on the plants for a couple of times. Worked decent enough for me and no use for chemicals

I just hope that this (with the long peppers) is the only one that got wrong. Although, there's another plant with strange "Jalapenos". |
