Nope, long, thin, and not spicy. You can't do anything with it... LAME!

Leave it and wait, they are too young to be spicy now :)
When they start to get into it's color (which ever it will be) you'll see if they will be spicy or lame :)

Well, it wasn't my best peppers year. Here was pouring rain non-stop from April untill July, and than all August and September. And even now it's raining two times per week... I planted 50 jalapeno seeds, 20 of them made it into the ground, and then I picked up ~30 peppers. And they weren't even spicy. I should've planted rise.

Can't wait to try them though, anyway, what; no recipies with peppers, no spicy jams, no nothing?
I have to admite I was a bit offline from here so I didn't post, but next month I'll try to back fill few pictures and comments :jason:

Mine aslo took all the water from the gutter. So, yeah, half of the summer, they were swimming in water. :crazy2:

Last couple of years, I'm planting only Jalapaneos. Turned out I don't know what to do whit the other ones.
Like you said, hotter than hell, so I can't eat them as much. When I store them in jars with vinegar, they turn into mush. If I hang 'em to dry, more than half of them rot...

...sooo last (and this) summer I pickled the Jalapenos:
I slice them into 5-6 mm sized pieces, throw them in a jar
One garlic head, chopped up in small pieces
A dozen of pepper grains
Some parsley
And fill up the jar with 2/3 vinegar, 1 table spoon of salt, and 1/3 of cold water. Then for a week or so, I'm rotating the jar once per day.

PS: Oh, and we've discovered Viber, so lot's of the recipes go there, as it's much easier to share. :cheer:

I donno...I know what you said about Jalapenos, but when I was growing them at home, there were not hot at all :(
And I pickle two jars of hot ones, I dry one string and the others I put in ajvar (you know the paprika and egg plant thing known on Balkan). As mush as I make ajvar hot, it gets eaten with minced meat on grill. :pooper:
Strange that the ones you put to dry rot. How do you dry them?
I put them on a string, I go with needle throug the green thing on top, now the pepper itself, and put them on windy and airy place. Turns ok, but looses the hotness.... The pickled ones are still the best...except the ones in Ajvar...I ADORE spiced ajvar...

Surprisingly, I saw the picture :) Thanks man
Anway, when I make pljeskavica when it is allmost done, I flip it, put pickled habanero that is cut into smaller bits on it, put bacon on it and cover with cheese to melt around it. Fun guaranteed :)
And also with pickled I make hot sauces for chicken on bbq, and use a lot of it in gulash, kotlovina, beans...the aplicability are numerous! :)
Aldought, habanero branch is the hottest thing I want to eat. All abouve it is just hot and...without after scent. Meaningless...
