We had my brother-in-law and his GF come over at our place for some Mexican food we cooked and I went on a beer shopping berzerk :cheer: :hyp:

Also bought a few bottles of wine and one bottle each of nice Metaxa and "Absinth" (quotes because it's not real shit, but some herb liquor... with 75% alc. though :party: )

It has only 75%, I also saw the black one of the same producer with 85%, but my wife didn't allow me to buy that one because she doesn't want me dead. Yet :haha:

You try Turkish raki(also known as nickname as Lion's milk) & Fish? ^^

Drinking raki has its own traditional rituals. Most important is what it is to be partaken with. White cheese is the main and unchangeable "meze"(appetizer) of raki. Raki is usually drunk with cold dishes like tomatoes , cucumber and lettuce with olive oil, lettuce and seafood (the salads of calamari, shrimp, octopus). Fish is also a favourite, especially mullet and mackerel, bass, bluefish. :!

Probably, but I'm a simple man. As much as I like fish, seafood salads, vegetables with olive oil and especially cheese, I prefer to partake raki with more raki :bang:

Actually, rakija is made from almost everything (in Serbia they even make it from chicken shit :haha:), plum is more commonly used in the north and grape in the south of Croatia. And I like them both :potez: :cool:
