I'll take a look tomorrow to see how to improve srestore's blend detection!

Re: Ripping/encoding/releasing Q & A
Fuck the info telmo. The AR is inside of the DVD itself, not on its cover, IMDb or some info. The AR reported by the info might be right, but why trust it when you can find it out yourself. Read the GK guide, everything is in there: http://forum.dead-donkey.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=15117

Re: Ripping/encoding/releasing Q & A
Do you have mvtools? In order to use fft3dfilter you have to put this dll in your system32 folder.

Re: Ripping/encoding/releasing Q & A
MVDegrain seems to be a part of an MVTools collection: http://avisynth.org.ru/mvtools/mvtools.html

Re: Ripping/encoding/releasing Q & A
I want to downgrade my ac3 track... currently it has a 640 kb/s bitrate. What codec and settings do you recommend?

Re: Ripping/encoding/releasing Q & A
Any other tracks available? Best option would be DTS HD to let's say 384 or 448 AC3. You need eac3to, which uses aften for AC3 encoding. Depending of the codec of the source eac3to on its own doesn't fully support everything, for example TrueHD or DTS HD (it recognizes the plain DTS part of a DTS HD track, but not the HD one). If you have Nero and Arcsoft, then eac3to supports everything. If you just need to reencode AC3 @ 640 to 448 or lower, then you just need eac3to. http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=125966

Re: Ripping/encoding/releasing Q & A
LPCM is lossless and eac3to supports it. Use that!

Re: Ripping/encoding/releasing Q & A
Post your current script. I think you could use some deblocking at the beginning of the script.

Re: Ripping/encoding/releasing Q & A
It could be my monitor, but it looks like that black is not dark enough. You should play around with ColorYUV imho. See "7.2.9.1 The Basics (brightness/contrast/saturation)" here: http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/captur ... synth.html

Looking purely at the first screen I would say that the black is black enough. But it never hurts to fuck around a bit more

Re: Ripping/encoding/releasing Q & A
Which deinterlacer is en vogue for interlaced PAL these days? Last time I needed one I used Leakkerneldeint and was pleased with the result. But since it's been a while I figured I might give a newer one a shot.

Re: Ripping/encoding/releasing Q & A
Ultimate deinterlacing combo: For TFF Clips: Interp = nnedi(field=1) TDeint(order=1,field=1,type=1,edeint=Interp,emask=TMM(order=1,field=1)) For BFF Clips: Interp = nnedi(field=0) TDeint(order=0,field=0,type=1,edeint=Interp,emask=TMM(order=0,field=0)) you'll need NNEDI: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=129953TDeint & TMM: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=82264-- A very fast and good quality deinterlacer is Yadif: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=124284You must import the DLL using Load_Stdcall_Plugin
