Getting eMule to work again
OK, so I got this new PC and Win 8.1 and a superb new ISP with hyperspeed connection. Now I want the mule to work again for me, but it fails miserably. My port test fails again and again, while I have tried to forward, trigger, etc. all with the same ports. Here is how my modempage looks: What should I change? Any advice is welcome!

Re: Getting eMule to work again
Assuming the IP is correct and these are the ports vou've set up in eMule, you could try setting the protocol to 'both' on TCP and UDP. If that doesn't work, try setting ports in the 15000+ range in eMule and the router respectively.
Might help.

Re: Getting eMule to work again
Have you tried UPnP? That way eMule and the router figure it out themselves.

Re: Getting eMule to work again
OK, thanks. Set protocol to both and used UPnP. Ports are open now, so that's one step to the final success. Why not success already?
Because: there is still no connection. The mule keeps saying it is "Connecting", both to servers and to Kad.
Windows firewall has an exception for eMule, so does the virusscanner.
Ideas?

Re: Getting eMule to work again
Which servers are you using? There aren't many left these days.
Try these, I know they work:
Emule Security 1-4: ed2k://|server|91.200.42.46|1176|/ ed2k://|server|91.200.42.47|3883|/ ed2k://|server|91.200.42.119|9939|/ ed2k://|server|77.120.115.66|5041|/
TVU: ed2k://|server|176.103.48.36|4184|/
With KAD, try the bootstrap option.

Struggled a bit with the bootstrap, but this link worked: http://server-met.emulefuture.de/downlo ... =nodes.dat

Re: Getting eMule to work again
Yeah, I already clicked almost all SB releases For ripping I need all software I used to use and I have none am, so that will need some time. And time is scarce with two little daughters I can tell you But I want to do some ripping in the near future, as I have seen some fantastic crap in the past few months.

Re: Getting eMule to work again
Sleep is somewhere around 70%, pretty OK I give myself a few months to get back to ripping, but it's on the big to do list for sure.

Re: Getting eMule to work again
You should backup your known.met, all .met files actually. There should be one with the nodes as well. Or backup you eMule program folder in its entirety.
