I don't have much experience in that range, but try LUX-85 anyways even though it could undersize, it's worth a shot if it doesn't cause you'll have awesome quants!
Or you could raise the sharpening very very slightly up or lower the denoising by little.
Dunno if V3 would be too much for that comptest aka LUX-90... Lemme know of the results
im off to bed

Hmmm I didn't notice this in my other encodes, the encode is a bit darker than the .avs, like it lost contrast or something.
Checking now if it's Chroma-ME

Oh I guess it's a normal xvid effect, removing chromaME or vhq for b-frames don't change a thing.
Doesn't matter though, the impact is negligible, I just like to nitpick over poop

Those seem to be pretty steamy!!!!
You should use avinaptic though for analysis, it's awesome

Just a quickie: I'm not sure if there's a small problem with the LUX-CT function. I tried it out, and from its own results it gave Comptest = 108, which should use LUX-85. However, when I used LUX-CT it chose to use LUX-90 which resulted in an oversized file.
Don't know if something needs tweaking?

Yes, for now don't use LUX-CT, it worked fine previously but then I removed the modifications elguaxo or something

OK, so I got an undersize with the batch file.
LUX-90 gave me 1.58GB
LUX-85 gave me 1.44GB
Can you make a LUX-87.5 preset please.

I also got undersizing with older versions of LUX-85.
Replace lines 37 and 38 in xvid_presets_25h.csv with this:
Code: "LUX-85","1","4","1",".",".","1","100","100","v3hr-sap.xcm","3",".",".",".",".",".",".",".",".",".","-10",".",".","Y","." "LUX-85","2","6","4",".",".","1","100","100","v3hr-sap.xcm",".","2","3","2","4","2","4",".",".","0","-10","Y","Y",".","."
I don't know if these settings are good enough to replace the current LUX-85, but in your case you will hit the right filesize and have nice quants. I changed the B-VOP sensitivity to -10 (which is not too much).

So 85 is a stinker
Isn't -10 too much? I mean -3 lowers compressibility a lot
Perhaps better then to use heini? Heini 1/1/0 perhaps? Dunno if that would be in the 90 range though
PS. thanks for the input!

I had an undersize similar to ViSCeRaL and -3 was too little. I am sure he will get some 4s, but that's ok! Another problem might be the OCS=0 parameter!? I haven't played around with that parameter, so I don't know... Perhaps with OCS=0 it is not picking enough 2s to fill the target size?
ViSCeRaL, don't forget to post the full avinaptic report, drf stats included!
Edit: another solution could be doing the first pass at Q=2. With Is/Ps/Bs at min=2 the difference between a first pass at q=2 or 3 is that at q=2 you get more Q2 frames than when you do the first pass at q=3.

So maybe
heini 1/1/1 with -3 b-vops and min Q=2 at first pass would be enough to bring the compression down to make it a good 85 alternative?
I presume it certainly loses compression with Q=2 at first pass? If not much then we stick with V3HR, but anywayz we need tests
Hmmmm this opens new possibilities

I still haven't finished the V encode. It was the encode where I got undersizes with LUX-85. Will try a 1/1/1 with -3 b-vops and Q=2 at first pass.

Interesting, seems Bloodrayne is around this league with about 100 and something little comptest
Guess I'll wait for your results. And Im always fishy thinking bout V3 matrix, I've another one with 117 comptest. Hmmm I'll run a small comparison test

Dammit! Still undersized even with the adjustments elguaxo suggested.
Off on holiday for a coupleof weeks now, I'll do some more beta testing when I get back.

I am running tests on a movie with similar problems. I will have a new LUX-85 when you are back.
Lux I told you, a B-VOP sensitivity of -10 is not too much!

Looks great but undersized. I'm still working on a new LUX-85 preset! My undersize encode of V using LUX-85 looks like yours: http://bad-good.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=65948#65948

Sorry for being thick
The size of my video? do you mean the size I want my rip to be? how big it is in vobs beforehand? or even how many mb I want to use for a comptest?

Yeah, the size of your rip. Or you can enter the bitrate there instead of MB
